I love taking macro photos using some old broken lens with some adapters to get magnification that will get so close that you can see every single "lens" of fly eye. But with that magnification comes a lot of shakiness so you need faster shutter speed or some flash that will freeze your subject and get you nice sharp photo. It's a struggle to get perfect image but you need to be determined and stubborn for this kind of photography, that's the key!
