Hola a todos! Hace poco estuve organizando mi habitación, y me topé con este libro, que fue el primero que leí en mi vida. Fue un regalo de cumpleaños recuerdo, y apenas al leer el título me llamó la atención, lo leí, y me encantó.
Hello everyone! I was recently organizing my room, and I came across this book, which was the first I read in my life. It was a birthday present I remember, and as soon as I read the title it caught my attention, I read it, and I loved it.
Tenía tiempo sin publicar contenido literario en mi blog, así que, no encuentro mejor forma de retomarlo que con una lectura que me marcó, por tratarse de una historia que parece ficticia pero tiene mucha realidad en ella.
I had not published literary content on my blog for a while, so I can't find a better way to pick it up than with a reading that marked me, because it is a story that seems fictional but has a lot of reality in it.
Sinopsis
Relata la historia de Jack, un niño que al nacer, por tener problemas en su corazón, su doctora Madeline decidió coserle un reloj, que le ayudaría a vivir. Sólo que para que funcionara correctamente, ella le dijo que debía seguir éstas reglas:

Lo que más me gustó
Lo más atrapante es la capacidad del autor, de hacerte sentir que estás en Edimburgo en 1800, todo es descrito a la perfección sin tampoco dejar que la historia se vea opacada por un exceso en describir detalles.
The most compelling thing is the author's ability to make you feel that you are in Edinburgh in 1800, everything is described to perfection without letting the story be overshadowed by an excess in describing details.
Para el momento en que leí este libro estaba empezando la adolescencia, y aquí el personaje Jack justo está pasando por esa etapa: donde todas las emociones que sentimos son muy fuertes, todo es nuevo y a la vez nos sentimos invencibles.

El que hayan mostrado la vulnerabilidad y lo sensible que es un adolescente me marcó mucho, me hizo sentir que en realidad yo no estaba exagerando jajajaja.

Enseñanza
Principalmente, dentro de la vida de Jack con su reloj, se verá forzado a romper una regla, ya que se enamora. Algo que le prohibieron, sin embargo, no dejó que eso le impidiera expresar su amor día tras día a quién amó tanto.

Otro detalle es: cuánto daño la sobreprotección de padres hace a los niños, el no querer que se vayan de tu lado, ni que experimenten dolor, pérdida, o incluso una ruptura amorosa, lleva muchas veces a que ese niño sufra más. Ese fue el caso de Jack.

Sí, a Jack le mintieron toda su vida, su corazón si funcionaba realmente, no necesitaba ese reloj; él amó mucho, pero esa mentira que le ocultaron, hizo que perdiera ese amor, incluso en sí mismo. A pesar de pasar por algo tan devastador, siguió adelante, feliz de saber que le quedaba mucha vida por delante y capaz de amar nuevamente.
Yes, Jack lied to his whole life, his heart really worked, he didn't need that watch; he loved very much, but that lie that they hid from him, made him lose that love, even in himself. Despite going through something so devastating, he moved on, happy to know that she had a lot of life ahead of her and able to love again.
Es una lectura muy diferente, un poco triste, pero que es necesaria de hacer, ya que nos muestra la realidad del amor, que hasta puede llegar a ser cruel algunas veces. Lo recomiendo, para todo aquel que desee una buena lectura corta!
It is a very different reading, a bit sad, but one that is necessary to do since it shows us the reality of love, which can even be cruel at times. I recommend it, for anyone who wants a good short read!

La mecánica del corazón es un libro que tiene una adaptación fílmica y nos deja de enseñanza sobre el amor y sus consecuencias como bien se relata en la publicación. Realmente se debe sufrir por amor? Es bueno cuando se quiere a alguien en exceso incluso si lo anteponemos a nosotros mismo? Qué consecuencias traería eso en el futuro?
