Hello Hivers 💖 Some designers find it difficult to sew a trouser perfectly, I was also in this category sometimes ago but after attending some classes and consistent practice I was able to overcome that.

Here are the tips and process I followed in making my trouser, and it's very simple and straight forward, you can also give it a trial.

MATERIALS USED

  • fabric ( soft Chinoz)
  • waist band
  • paper stay
  • hair stay
  • linen
  • zip
  • thread

CUTTING PROCESS

In my previous post I explained extensively how to go about cutting a trouser so I won't spend much time but show it pictorally

SEWING PROCESS

I always started my sewing by fixing the side pockets and then the zip

Fixing the side pocket, u measure 7.5 by 2.25 inches , fold in inside using iron, then apply paper stay, fix your pocket.

The zip allowance Is 7 inches for an adult, how it was fixed is shown in the pictures above.

Then I proceeded to fixing of the back pockets

Thereafter I joined the back to the front, fixed the band, adding waistband with belt holes and closing the zip properly

Looks great! I got a sewing machine gifted to me 2 years ago and have been too intimated to open it up and try. I need to!

Smiles, you should give it a trial, tailoring is interesting, you can call for help if you need one. Thanks
