This Sunday June 21 in my country was Father's Day, special dates if there are any to enjoy beautiful days with the family.
Este domingo 21 de junio en mi país fue el día del padre, fecha especiales si las hay para disfrutar de hermosos días en familia.
This time things are not the same as previous years due to the blessed pandemic that day by day limits our lives, making us miss essential things such as a simple hug or spending the day with those people who have made a great contribution so that today we are who we are.
En esta oportunidad las cosas no son iguales a años anteriores por la bendita pandemia que día a día limita nuestras vidas, haciendo que nos perdamos de cosas esenciales como pueden ser un simple abrazo o pasar el día junto a aquellas personas que han hecho un gran aporte para que hoy seamos quienes somos.
Today the meetings, the hugs and displays of affection are left aside and we can only try to be closer to our parents through the coldness of the camera of a smartphone or a tablet. Perhaps this year due to these circumstances, feelings are more at their core and we can see that day to day that we were used to having and perhaps we did not give it the value it has.
Hoy las reuniones, los abrazos y muestras de afectos quedan de lado y solo podemos intentar estar más cerca de nuestros padres a través de la frialdad de la cámara de un smartphone o una tablet. Quizá este año por estas circunstancias los sentimientos estén más a flor de piel y podamos ver ese día a día que estábamos acostumbrados a tener y tal vez no le dabamos el valor que tiene.
This Sunday 21 in addition to commemorating Father's Day, my youngest daughter turned 3 months old. For her, quarantine is normal, because she was born in the middle of it. This means that not more than three people from our large family know her in person yet.
Este domingo 21 además de conmemorarse el día del padre, mi hija más pequeña cumplió los 3 meses de vida. Para ella la cuarentena es lo normal, porque nació en medio de ella. Esto implica que aún no la conozcan en persona más que tres personas de nuestra numerosa familia.
Not being able to join our family with my wife and daughters, we decided to go for a walk in some beautiful fields located a few kilometers from our city to enjoy the day outdoors despite the cold that prevailed yesterday. In these places practically no people attend, therefore we do not have contagion risks.
Al no poder reunirnos con nuestra familia con mi esposa e hijas decidimos salir de paseo a unos lindos campos situados a pocos kilómetros de nuestra ciudad para disfrutar del día al aire libre a pesar del frío reinante en el día de ayer. En estos lugares prácticamente no concurren personas, por lo cual no tenemos riesgos de contagio.
Today we celebrate at a distance that we are all well, that thanks to God we remain healthy, that we are together despite the distance. Today we realize those little things that will be delayed for later and will surely serve as teaching to grow and learn, because if there is something that we must have in this situation, it is learning.
Hoy festejamos a la distancia que todos estamos bien, que gracias a Dios permanecemos sanos, que estamos juntos a pesar de la distancia. Hoy nos damos cuenta de esas pequeñas cosas que quedarán postergadas para más adelante y seguramente nos servirá de enseñanza para crecer y aprender, por que si hay algo que debemos que nos tiene que quedar de toda esta situación es el aprendizaje.
