Then, you wonder why comments, interaction and engagement these days pays and worth shit on the hive blockchain right? Especially when "they" insist in maintain this ludicrous 'non-linear curve' for rewards in the middle of a current downward spiral of lack of manual and vivid participation, curation and user's interactions.
And then, I guess you also wonder what the "non-linear rewards curve" has to do with anything here right? Oh! easy, let me explain this better below:
According to the current curve, a post whose earnings are above the $4.00 point provides more rewards to both, author and curator, than a post below that point.
So yeah! you have an actual penalty on your 'curation' rewards if you vote a post of less than $4.00 or a comment for that matter. And in consequence, if you upvote an already well-rewarded post you can get a higher part of the reward in comparison.
And then, a more frequent question begins to flutter around and haunt your head.
How comes that we always see only to the very same people hoarding all the canopies of the trending page and hot page in Hive with the higher $$$ figures? Did you see the other pink chart above?
I challenge you to tell me how many of those "Most Rewarded Hive Curators" shown and highlighted in that other pink chart above do you see stumbling with, snooping in and tinkling a few pennies on your own stuff. Yeah! probably a few. With some random luck just a few. Only sometimes. Mostly when they are drunk or bored AF.
However, I bet 'they' not use to show up precisely in the content of those authors with a Rep Score lower than 70 who also dare to read my posts. Simply, because I suspect that most of their posts are also below the $4.00 mark. So, who of those opulents with stake (delegated or not) really gives a damn to under $4.00 posts?
Oh! don't get me wrong. Actually I have nothing against those authors who head up the last chart. Most of them are good friends and I can swear they are great and prolific authors of outstanding content that for the same reason deserves to be there. My wrath, grudge and criticism is with greedy and lazy curators.
Greedy and lazy 'curators' who do not miss the opportunity to fill their mouths claiming that they are all for onboarding new users, manual discovery content, user retention, original quality content, promote interaction and engagement on chain, organically help, reward and incentivize to the little guys to keep contributing and many other demagoguery like that. But even though, they insist in keeping the stupid current "non-linear rewards curve"
Yeah, maybe it's just because they, with their own or delegated huge stake, are able to grant more than $4.00 through a single 100% VP upvote on the content of their favorite authors. From where they obviously get in return 50% of 'curation' rewards.
But what about the commoners of the blockchain? Those like us who even with figures close of up to 5000 HP, this current situation often give us an acute pain in the balls to upvote anything because we can't even grant more than $0.05 with such HP as long as this "non-linear rewards curve" remains?
I still remember those old good days when it was possible to earn more do$h through a simple comment than in the most elaborated of our posts. But yeah, that was in a time when comments, interaction and engagement was a true thing to grow EVERYTHING. Including the own blockchain. Everything else is just pure nostalgia and a great deal of yearned:

Yeah mate, we have to make a lot more trepidant rumble and noise about this issue. And when the walls of their little bunkers start to fall over their pin heads, eventually they will notice how safe they were enclosed into their formulaic tiny bubble of greed and lack of solidarity.
