We are circus dancers and artists, researchers of movement as a method of learning and communication. We dance on the walls and suspended from the ground with harnesses and ropes.
As a group we seek to explore all possible ways of suspending the body and also at all possible heights, thus we enter a totally new dimension in our way of moving, thus our bodies were deciphering codes, to experience a new language.
The space in which to inhabit the dance also changed and showed us endless new possibilities, that above can be below, that the force of gravity can be expressed differently or the simple suspension of the pelvis far from the ground leaves the body in pure air. Completamente enamorados de La Danza Vertical, luego de haber trabajado para un espectáculo llamado “Si Las Paredes Hablaran” dirigido por Cristal Albornoz – Compañía “La Pared”, nos juntamos para investigar estos elementos dentro de la escena y a alturas muy altas.
“Si Las Paredes Hablaran” Es un bar de los años 20 donde los amores y los desamores nos hacen volar y bailar en las paredes al son de los primero boleros escritos, pero de esta maravillosa experiencia les contaré un una próxima oportunidad.
Completely in love with The Vertical Dance, after having worked for a show called "Si Las Paredes Hablaran" directed by Cristal Albornoz - Compañía "La Pared", we got together to investigate these elements within the scene and at very high altitudes.

Of all, undoubtedly the bravest, she always wants to dance in the tallest buildings. She is also a contemporary dancer and an excellent performer on fabrics.
El es Nelson Ojeda mi compañero de anDANZAS, por la vida y por las tablas hemos caminado juntos por años y ha sido maravilloso. El es bailarín y artista circense, por muchos años intérprete para la Fundación Compañía Nacional de Danza de Venezuela.
Uno de sus aportes como artista ha sido rescatar parte de la sabiduría ancestral y tradicional de Venezuela, como investigador logró fusionar lo tradicional y lo contemporáneo, para una escena que refleja realidades e historias que son rescatables ante el tiempo y la modernidad. Luego de 16 años de carrera activa como bailarín profesional y como docente, el cuerpo requiere un descanso y no alejándose del arte escénico Nelson se desarrolla como uno de los mejores productores de arte de Venezuela (por lo menos que yo conozca) trabajando para el Teatro Teresa Carreño y en la directiva de la Fundación Compañía Nacional de Danza de Venezuela.
Amante del riesgo que solo se puede experimentar siendo artista de circo, no se pudo resistir a eso de la cuerdita y el arnés y es parte activa de RM Danza, como intérprete y como productor.
He is Nelson Ojeda my companion in WALKS, for life and for the boards we have walked together for years and it has been wonderful. He is a circus dancer and artist, for many years an interpreter for the Fundación Compañía Nacional de Danza de Venezuela.
One of his contributions as an artist has been to rescue part of the ancestral and traditional wisdom of Venezuela, as a researcher he managed to fuse the traditional and the contemporary, for a scene that reflects realities and stories that are redeemable in the face of time and modernity. After 16 years of active career as a professional dancer and as a teacher, the body requires a rest and not leaving the performing arts Nelson develops as one of the best art producers in Venezuela (at least that I know) working for the Theater Teresa Carreño and on the board of the Fundación Compañía Nacional de Danza de Venezuela.

Por último Yo, Marlon Alvarado, bailarín, practicante e instructor de Yoga. También fruto de la Compañía Nacional. Tuve mucha suerte de haber estado allí, siendo muy joven pude bailar junto a los mejores bailarines del país para ese momento y ser instruido por profesores y coreógrafos nacionales e internacionales. Para mí fue una escuelota y me dio la oportunidad de trabajar en otras compañías súper importantes del país.
El Yoga y la meditación son un refugio para mi espíritu y compartirlo a muchas personas es una tarea que decidí aceptar que me ha traído maravillosos momentos y aprendizajes, hablo un poco de esto en Samsara, la última producción de RM Danza la cual estrenaríamos a una semana de haber declarado la cuarentena en Venezuela. De Samsara también les estaré contando próximamente.
Finally I, Marlon Alvarado, dancer, practitioner and Yoga instructor. Also the result of the National Company. I was very lucky to have been there, when I was very young I was able to dance with the best dancers in the country at that time and be instructed by national and international teachers and choreographers. For me it was a schoolhouse and it gave me the opportunity to work in other super important companies in the country.
Yoga and meditation are a refuge for my spirit and sharing it with many people is a task that I decided to accept that it has brought me wonderful moments and learning, I talk a little about this in Samsara, the latest production by RM Danza which we would premiere at a week after having declared the quarantine in Venezuela. Samsara I will also be telling you soon.
La idea de abrir este blog ha pasado por mi cabeza desde hace mucho tiempo y por fin consigo una plataforma que me motiva, como miembro de la comunidad quiero compartirles nuestros proyectos pasados y venideros, ser una ventanita de inspiración para nuevos artistas o amantes del arte.
The idea of opening this blog has been in my head for a long time and finally I get a platform that motivates me, as a member of the community I want to share our past and future projects, to be a window of inspiration for new artists or art lovers.
