Holaa!! Hace meses participé con algunas publicaciones en el Energy Refill Contest y me gustó mucho la experiencia. Hoy regresé con una publicación para participar en el concurso más reciente, aunque estoy bastante cerca de la fecha límite (lunes 29 de marzo), nunca es demasiado tarde si todavía no ha cerrado el concurso 😂. La frase en esta ocasión es la siguiente: “Si la vida te dá limones, aprende a hacer limonada" - Anónimo.
I participated months ago with some posts in the Energy Refill Contest and I really enjoyed the experience. Today I came back with a post to participate in the most recent contest, although I'm pretty close to the deadline (Monday, March 29), it's never too late if the contest hasn't closed yet 😂. The phrase this time around is the following "If life gives you lemons, learn to make lemonade" - Anonymous.
Leí la frase y supe que tenía que participar, pues reflexioné sobre varios puntos que me gustaría comentar. Lo primero que pensé fue que de cualquier experiencia que tengamos en la vida, sea positiva o negativa, podemos quedarnos con "algo". Ese "algo" puede ser una persona, un aprendizaje, un recuerdo e incluso algo tangible. Siempre he pensado que tenemos el poder de elegir ver nuestra vida desde la inercia o desde el aprendizaje continuo, desde la acción con propósito o sin propósito (porque así no hagamos nada, pues esa es una forma de actuar). Cuando la vida nos da limones, tenemos la oportunidad de elegir botar los limones a la basura, dejar que se dañen en la cocina, regalarlos, hacer malabares con ellos o incluso, hacer una deliciosa limonada. Pero todo esto dependerá de nuestra decisión y voluntad, todo depende de nosotros.
I read the phrase and I knew I had to participate, because I reflected on several points that I would like to comment on. The first thing I thought was that from any experience we have in life, whether positive or negative, we can keep "something". That "something" can be a person, a learning experience, a memory, or even something tangible. I have always thought that we have the power to choose to see our life from inertia or from continuous learning, from purposeful or purposeless action (because even if we do nothing, that is a way of acting). When life gives us lemons, we have the opportunity to choose to throw them in the trash, let them spoil in the kitchen, give them away, juggle them or even make a delicious lemonade. But all this will depend on our decision and will, it all depends on us.
También pienso en todas las situaciones incómodas o displacenteras por las que podemos pasar (porque no todo en la vida es color de rosas) y cómo nosotros elegimos qué actitud tener ante estas circunstancias. Al principio quizás pensemos que los limones son un poco ácidos, que hay frutas más dulces, que ojalá hayan sido duraznos o peras... Sí, no siempre las cosas son cómo queremos pero lo más importante es qué hacemos para mejorar las cosas un poco más a nuestro favor: un pie de limón, una limonada, un té con limón, una torta con ralladura de limón... las opciones son infinitas.
I also think of all the uncomfortable or unpleasant situations we may go through (because not everything in life is rosy) and how we choose what attitude to have in these circumstances. At first we may think that lemons are a bit acidic, that there are sweeter fruits, that we wish they were peaches or pears.... Yes, things are not always the way we want them to be but the most important thing is what we do to improve things a little more in our favor: a lemon pie, a lemonade, a tea with lemon, a cake with lemon zest... the options are endless.
Siempre he pensado que TODO se puede aprender. Evidentemente no seremos los mejores ni los más hábiles, pero de que podemos aprender podemos. Y eso es lo que pienso cuando literalmente una parte de la frase dice "Aprende a hacer limonada". Esto es muy importante en todas las etapas vitales, cuando somos niños quizás nos sentimos más cómodos con un grupo de amigos, pero también podemos aprender a relacionarnos con otras personas, cuando salimos de la universidad pensamos que directamente tenemos que conseguir un empleo en un área en específico, pero quizás podemos ir aprendiendo otras cosas, cuando envejecemos y nos jubilamos, podemos pensar que ya es el fin de nuestra productividad, pero siempre podemos seguir aprendiendonuevas cosas. Aprender, aprender, aprender... pienso que de eso se trata todo.
I have always thought that EVERYTHING can be learned. Obviously we won't be the best or the most skilled, but we can learn. And that's what I think when literally part of the sentence says "Learn to make lemonade". This is very important in all life stages, when we are children maybe we feel more comfortable with a group of friends, but we can also learn to relate with other people, when we leave college we think that we directly have to get a job in a specific area, but maybe we can learn other things, when we get older and retire, we may think that it is the end of our productivity, but we can always continue learning new things. Learn, learn, learn... I think that's what it's all about.
