Vada Pav Recipe!

Vada pav is a famous Maharashtrian snack, popular as Mumbai vada pav. If you visit Mumbai, you will literally find vada pav stalls in every nook and corner. These are sold for around 5/10 rs. this local cuisine of Maharashtra is famous across the globe and is known for its spicy taste. Let’s see how we make it.

Ingredients

  • 4 Potatoes

  • 2 Cups besan (Gram Flour)

  • 2 Cups oil

  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

  • 2 Green chilies

  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder

  • 1/4 tsp Garam masala

  • Salt to taste.

Directions

  • Mash the potatoes well once boiled and peeled.

  • Add red chili powder, garam masala, chopped green chilies and salt to the mashed potatoes

  • Roll the mixture into fine round shaped balls.

  • In the besan add water and make a fine batter of it.

  • After that add turmeric powder and salt to batter.

  • Dip each ball into the fine batter

  • Fry it in hot oil till it illuminates a golden tinge.

Serve hot with mint chutney and red chutney
