Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They're by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today's reading is for the week of July 28th 2020.
Another quick update on something I mentioned for this first time in a bit last week - our family car. I'm thinking all the collective good mechanic juju everybody sent finally worked because Saturday afternoon (after another brain hurty hiccup at the garage) my hubby drove up our driveway in the used car we bought in February, and had towed away from the side of the highway back in early March (just as all the Covid stuff started). YES, we have our car back! Thank you to one and all who sent positive vibes our way! It was an awesomesauce early birthday present (I turn 55 tomorrow) from the Universe!
And with that awesome little bit of news (I'd say, "take that, 2020" but I don't want to chance it..lol) it's time to start the reading. The setup of how I do these was not my original idea - I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here's a quick breakdown on how this works...
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!When you've decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don't be worried if you don't happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I would also like to mention...
Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself - whatever you need to do to focus. When you're ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.
Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don't see the picture of the front of the cards before you've made your choice, I'm putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. A few days ago, I found a Pinterest sized quoto (quote + photo = quoto) I created for a Mostly Wordless Wednesday back in October 20117, and decided to put together an Instagram size version of it as well. The photo is one of my first ever composite photos with a full moon shot from January 2017, and a cutting room floor crow snap from February 2017 (also the one I use for my disclaimer pic), and the quote is from Yarrow: An Autumn Tale by Charles De Lint

1. Two of Pentacles
Juggling act. On the one hand, you have your passion – on the other, your responsibilities. You need to make sure you’re giving enough time, energy, and attention to both. I tend to draw this card when I need to reassess how I’m getting things done (or not), and refocus my priorities. There are some stormy seas behind you, but if you manage to keep your balls in the air a little longer, help will arrive. Like the Little River Band says, "Are you always in confusion? Surrounded by illusion? Sort it out. You'll make out. Seem to make a good beginning, someone else ends up winning. Don't seem fair? Don't you care. Hang on. Help is on its way."
Tarot Tidbit: The Two of Pentacles seems to like the first position - it was there just last month (on June 23rd) and the time before that (on March 10th, 2020).
2. The Hermit
Time for quiet contemplation. You need solitude. Some quiet time to reflect on things without distractions. It could be as simple as 15 minutes alone in a room without electronics or interruptions. But this isn’t the time to rest or nap – this is a chance to actively listen to your inner voice and see what it’s saying to you. Try something like journaling or guided meditation, and see how loud the silence can be.
Tarot Tidbit: The Hermit was last seen, in the first position, back in the fall on September 10th, 2019.
3. King of Swords
Cut to the chase. You’re smart. No one knows more about this situation, and how to fix it, than yourself. You know what the solution is, and you’re just the person to make it work. One caution – while you’re right to feel proud of what you’re about to accomplish, make sure you don’t accidentally step on any toes. Don't fall for the classic blunder of being like Vizzini, instead, ask yourself, "WWWD (What Would Westley Do?)" Soon enough, you'll have everything, "as you wish."
Tarot Tidbit: The King of Swords seems to like the third position - it was there back in the fall (a week later than The Hermit, on September 17th) and the time before that (on March 12th, 2019).
