Hello Book Lovers,
The Little Prince is a lifestyle, a philosophy of life. Although it is a children's book, it actually teaches lessons to adults. If you can see the elephant inside the boa constrictor or "Did the sheep eat the flower?" If you are wondering, your inner child is still there.

The writing of The Little Prince is as follows: Saint-Exupéry drew a picture of a child everywhere: letters, napkins, restaurant menus, every piece of paper he could pick up… One day his publisher asked who he was. "I'm drawing the child inside me," said the writer. "So why don't you write his story?" said the publisher. The Little Prince was born. The book had to be illustrated as it was intended for children. But when he saw that the professional illustrators could not capture the spirit of The Little Prince, he decided to paint himself.

At first glance, it looks like a simple book. However, it was later revealed that the author was the deepest of all his works. It was apparently a short story written for children, but in reality it was a children's story written for adults. It was a return to the land of childhood, "the vast country where everyone once lived." “All grown-ups were children at first, but few remember that,” he says in the introduction to the book. They are the adults who forget that they were a child once.

The book begins with an apology and it reads :

I ask the children to forgive me for dedicating this book to an adult. I have a serious apology: This adult is my best friend on earth. I have one more apology: This adult is hungry and He lives in France, where he is cold. He urgently needs consolation. If all that dying is not enough then I want to dedicate this book to this adult who was once a child. All the great people were once Kids (but few remember this) So I correct my dedication: For Léon Wert in his childhood days

As soon as I read this introduction, I understood that I must be like a grown-up child. And as a matter of fact, he reminded me of those days as he took me on a journey towards my childhood.

The story is plain. Living with his whimsical rose on a planet with three volcanoes, the Little Prince leaves the planet he lives in to find a friend, one day - and a little tired of the whims of the rose. He visits other planets and meets interesting people there. But the "approach of the adults to serious issues" confuses him. Finally, it comes to Earth. He is astounded by its size and emptiness. In a conversation with a snake and a fox in the desert, he learns that humans are evil. Meanwhile, feeling very lonely, the fox teaches him the fine art of being friends. Accordingly, the person who wants to find friends must be willing to "tame". At the end of the conversation, the fox expresses this secret as follows:

“One can see the truth only when he looks with his heart. The yeast of truth is invisible. "

At that moment, the Little Prince realizes that he has been "tamed" by the rose and decides to return to his planet. This is the whole story.

Despite its simplicity, the Little Prince hooks the question mark on existence… "What is really important in life?" His answer to the question is also surprising. It is stimulating. The things people consider important and serious are worthless in the eyes of the Little Prince. Conversely, what people consider insignificant are his raison d'être.

The world was not an ordinary planet at all! Here one hundred and eleven kings (if we count the black kings of course), seven thousand geography scholars, nine hundred thousand businessmen, seven million five hundred thousand drunks, three hundred and eleven million self-righteous, in short two thousand million there is an adult

This story, whose subject is loneliness, seems to want to address the child who lives inside every human being and at the same time represents nobility and purity. He questions and finds incomprehensible the decisions of adults who value numbers, evidence, and the rules of reason instead of the truth that the heart says. Because these decisions are often wrong.

In summary, The Little Prince is an allegory on loneliness. Friendship is the only thing that connects people to people.

Loving is merely an altruistic act; Is it more than a utopian gesture? In the great desert of loneliness where billions of people live like blind rats in their corridors; Could it be so difficult to achieve friendship as a remedy to our lives in the closed clusters of private life? The loneliness of the Little Prince reached its climax when he set foot on Earth despite the millions of people living in him. The book, which begins as a criticism of the adult world with a child's perspective, ends with drinking the poison given by the snake as a remedy to return to the rose that lives on the imaginary planet of its hero.

The book has such deep meanings in every paragraph that one cannot stop and think about it for a minute. One paragraph that I thought long about was as follows;

"You can only understand who you have tamed," said the fox. “People have no time to understand anything. They buy everything ready from the shop. And because friends are not sold in shops, people no longer have friends. If you want a friend, tame me!”

The person you are trying to know and trying to understand becomes meaningful in you again. The grown-ups - we - have become the wheels of an order in our monotonous life, one cannot help but question how many of us have real friends without a relationship of interest.

The author reveals, from the eyes of a young child, how worthless money is, the title and position everything that is valued in the world. Little Prince; Leaving all these worthless beings behind, he is getting tired in this desert where he actually came to meet new people, and returns to the place where he came from - even though there are millions of them - his rose that belongs to him because he has grown and trembled on him.

Sometimes people feel really lonely in this desert, when I feel like this, the following words of the Little Prince will come to my mind; "It's hiding a well somewhere that beautifies the desert."

Hope to discover the wells within us ...
