It is very natural for you to have doubts when you set out to do something new. Like to apply for a new job, a new school, or starting a new idea.

You would ask yourself questions like:

Why bother applying for the job? There are tons of people who are better than I am.

Why go to that new school? Many students are more brilliant than I am!

Why bring up this idea? People may not embrace it because it is not professional enough or because you don’t have experience!

We all doubt ourselves at one point or the other. These thoughts make us feel inferior among others. This inferiority complex makes us miss various splendid opportunities; it prevents us from even trying!

When you don’t try, you deny yourself potential opportunities. You will not always get a straight yes for starts! I’m sure we all know the popular Harry Potter movie and novel series? By J Rowlings.

It got rejected 12 times. But now it has billions of views and has sold millions of copies of its books and novels.

How did Rowling overcome this rejection?

Simple! HE Didn’t GIVE UP

The major way to overcome rejection is to see rejection as an opportunity to be better. Sometimes a no may mean; “This is not good enough, make it better,” or “Not this way, find a better way”.

Many people hunger for success at the first trial. Which makes them make mistakes that they later regret. You won’t always win. Sometimes you fail. You cannot avoid failure, you can only reduce your chances for failure.

What do you do when you get rejected?

Don’t GIVE UP!

Ask yourself questions like:

What did I do wrong?

How do I improve my ideas?

How do I improve myself?

One major reason you doubt yourself is because you think you are not good enough. You feel I am not ready yet. You only do this because you want to be experts from the start. You want success from the start.

But you will make several mistakes from the start.

When you start a new idea, it might look terrible.

When you move with higher class people, you might feel left out and out of place. But the more you doubt yourself, the more you don’t try, the more opportunities you lose.

Tell yourself yes when you get a no.

Embrace upgrade instead of ignoring it.

Chase your dreams rather than prevent them because of fear!
