One of my cousin sisters, Aparna had come down from Bangalore to my hometown. She was attending a Bhoomi Pooja function here but due to some reasons, her travels got delayed so she missed the event.

She had come well dressed in traditional Indian wear for the occasion and didn't want it to go waste. Since @varunpinto is also into model photography, I pinged him and we fixed a shoot for the next day at a secret location near a temple.

What was planned as a professional shoot ended up being a kind of a family outing when Aparna decided to invite my little cousins for the shoot. You can see the three of them in the background.

So it was me, my brother, my cousins Sushrut, Samhitha and Aparna whom I picked in my car and then met @varunpinto and his assistant Nitin at Pumpwell.

Nitin knew of all the hidden spots that are gems of locations for photography. While we were on the way, Nitin and @varunpinto were scouting for locations and found a few good ones.

When we reached the spot, it started raining. Previous day and that day throughout it was dry and when we opened our cameras, it started drizzling and we were all a bit annoyed. But then after a few minutes, it stopped luckily.

Then the shoot started with Aparna striking different poses and @varunpinto shooting away with the help of Nitin. Nitin was helping with the lighting for the shoot while I was shooting behind the scenes or BTS as they call it in the photography world.

Although you'll see him always goofing around and cracking jokes, when it comes to photography he @varunpinto is serious business. He will put in crazy level of dedication to get a perfect shot that he sees in his mind.

There was a beach nearby so after covering a few BTS shots, I headed towards the beach to enjoy the view and take in some fresh sea breeze.

The next location was an interesting one: An abandoned house!

It's all a play of lighting when it comes to photography. When the lighting is right, you get a great shot. Without lights, this particular photo below would've looked pretty dull.

Gotta admit, the house was pretty creepy. Don't think I would come here alone in the night. But great location for a shoot.

The model herself looks possessed with the stare she is giving in the below pic, isn't she? :O

A better picture!

Let me show you around the house a bit.

The next photo is really good for a haunted shoot!

The broken roof.

A lot of team-work and efforts go into every picture that you see on @varunpinto's blog posts.

20200825_183359.jpg

He also get's some crazy impromptu ideas when he shoots. I think that's how your mind works when you are fully immersed into photography.

A shot from just above Varun's camera through the window.

The light boys standing behind the scenes add the the magic to the picture.

What is that light saber looking thing in the last photo? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a light like that.

I think that's a Godox led light stick. Comes in 2 different colors as far as I have noticed. @varunpinto will be able to answer in detail.

@eveuncovered it's a Godox LC500 Portable LED Light Stick.. Best for videos and good for outdoor photography and some light painting..

And as @wandereronwheels mentioned, it comes with a cold and warm light setting..

Hahahahaha.. You put out my trade secrets and my secret location 😜

It was fun shooting with your sis and family.. Hopefully they like the pictures..
