La vida en el campo, es tranquila, apacible , y humilde, es un lugar donde la tecnología no es el fuerte, y donde viven su día a día para hacer una tarea, normalmente la actual tarea de muchos es sobrevivir.
Algunos meses atrás pude viajar a un pueblo muy alejado, aproximadamente a 6h de distancia de la ciudad mas cercana, pero en motocicleta, el tiempo en vehículo debe ser mucho mas, ya que el acceso a este sitio era demasiado difícil para un vehículo incluso todo terreno.
Life in the countryside is quiet, peaceful, and humble. It is a place where technology is not the strongest, and where people live their day-to-day lives to do a task, normally the current task of many is to survive.
Some months ago I was able to travel to a very remote village, approximately 6 hours away from the nearest city, but on a motorcycle, the time in vehicle must be much more, since access to this place was too difficult for a vehicle even off-road.
El lugar es llamado Corobore, un pequeño pueblo escondido del estado Lara, para poder llegar aquí, hay que atravesar un rió, que tiene una corriente regular, pero en temporadas de lluvia el acceso a este sitio es imposible. Los pobladores locales suelen ir a pie al pueblo vecino a comprar comida, y esto les toma 6h, pues aquí no hay muchas personas que cuenten con una motocicleta,y ademas otra opción es ir en burro.
The place is called Corobore, a small hidden town in the state of Lara, to get here, you have to cross a river, which has a regular current, but in rainy seasons access to this site is impossible. The local people usually go on foot to the neighboring town to buy food, and this takes 6 hours, because here there are not many people who have a motorcycle, and also another option is to go by donkey.
Llegamos a la casa de unas personas muy amistosas, y nos explicaron como estaba su situación, la única entrada de dinero que ellos tenían, era por la venta de Cocuy artesanal (Una bebida alcohólica destilada, parecida al tequila), ellos cambian su producto por comida como maíz, frijoles, arroz, y otros alimentos.
El proceso para destilar el cocuy es muy complejo, es algo que no podía explicarles a ustedes solo en un post, pero básicamente es fermentar el Agave (Planta con la que se realiza el alcohol) y destilarlo, aplicándole calor a altas temperaturas, todo este proceso es totalmente artesanal, por lo que este producto es 100% natural.
We arrived at the house of some very friendly people, and they explained to us how their situation was, the only income they had was from the sale of Cocuy artesanal (a distilled alcoholic drink, similar to tequila), they exchange their product for food such as corn, beans, rice, and other foods.
The process to distill the cocuy is very complex, it is something that I could not explain to you only in a post, but basically it is to ferment the Agave (Plant with which the alcohol is made) and distill it, applying heat to it at high temperatures, all this process is totally handmade, so this product is 100% natural.
Las casa aquí están muy alejadas entre si, incluso creo que la mas cercana esta a 1km de distancia, otras 5km puede varias mas, es un lugar donde no tienen supermercados, farmacias o lugares donde puedan ser atenidos, así que ellos lo llaman sobrevivir al extremo, pues una pequeña cortada o enfermedad podría ser grave. También note que el clima es muy árido, y muy soleado, por eso la mayoría de las personas están cómodas sin su camisa.
The houses here are very far from each other, even I think the closest one is 1km away, another 5km can be several more, it is a place where they do not have supermarkets, pharmacies or places where they can be attended, so they call it surviving in the extreme, because a small cut or disease could be serious. Also note that the climate is very dry, and very sunny, so most people are comfortable without their shirt.
El rió es su recurso mas valioso, de aquí la gente recoge agua para beber, cocinar y bañarse, incluso pude ver personas bañándose para refrescarse del inmenso calor.
The river is their most valuable resource, from here people collect water for drinking, cooking and bathing, I could even see people bathing to cool down from the immense heat.
Al caer la tarde tuvimos que irnos, por que llegaríamos muy tarde a casa, pero poder ir a este sitio me hace ver las difíciles situaciones que viven algunas personas, y me hace reflexionar sobre mis comportamientos negativos, pues estas personas son felices sin nada material, sin internet, y mas cosas que yo consideraba importantes, lo que realmente es importante, es vivir tu vida con felicidad, con una sonrisa siempre, y con HUMILDAD, respeto y amor hacia los demas.
When the afternoon fell we had to leave, because we would arrive home very late, but to be able to go to this site makes me see the difficult situations that some people live, and makes me reflect on my negative behaviors, because these people are happy without anything material, without internet, and more things that I considered important, what is really important, is to live your life with happiness, with a smile always, and with HUMILITY, respect and love towards the others.
