Good morning gems community, last week again I had to go to the countryside to bring supplies to my family, as I had said in a previous post we will always bring them food and water, because where they live access is extremely difficult, and despite the quarantine imposed throughout Venezuela in this place they all live a normal life between quotes, the difference is that now they have less contact with the cities, and can no longer go out to work, but still continue with their daily tasks.
Buenos días comunidad de gems, la semana pasada nuevamente tuve que ir al campo a llevar provisiones a mi familia, como había dicho en un anterior post siempre vamos a llevarles alimentos y agua, ya que donde viven el acceso es sumamente difícil, y a pesar de la cuarentena impuesta en toda Venezuela en este lugar todos viven una vida normal entre comillas, la diferencia es que ahora tienen menos contactos con las ciudades, y ya no pueden salir a trabajar, pero aun así continúan con sus labores diarias.
In this opportunity I did a small walk with my family to a lagoon nicknamed the "sandal", this lagoon is 40-60min walk up a steep mountain. We started from my cousin's house, and that's how we began the ascent of the mountain.
We also took some containers to collect some water, taking advantage of the fact that we were going to climb, with this we wash the kitchen utensils, clothes and some people boil them for human consumption.
En esta oportunidad hice un pequeña caminata con mi familia hacia una laguna apodada la "sandalia", esta laguna se encuentra a 40-60min de caminata subiendo una montaña empinada. Comenzamos partiendo desde la casa de mi mi primo, y así empezamos el ascenso de la montaña.
También llevamos algunos recipientes para recoger un poco de agua aprovechando que íbamos a subir, con esto se lavan los utensilios de cocina, la ropa y algunas personas la hierven para el consumo humano.
The terrain is a little arid, the flora is appropriate to this area, many cactus are seen throughout the mountain and cuji trees. It is waiting for the rainy season, so the land can be very dry and the mountains with little vegetation, however it is a beautiful place, in the distance you can see more mountains with little vegetation.
It was a very pleasant afternoon, the wind was blowing strong, and you could breathe pure and fresh air with a mountain smell, a very exclusive aroma. It was not at all exhausting, since we went there in the afternoon when the sun was setting.
El terrero un poco árido, la flora es la adecuada a esta zona, muchos cactus se ven en toda la montaña y arboles de cují. Se esta esperando la época de lluvia, por eso el terrero se puede ver muy seco y las montañas con poca vegetación, sin embargo es un lugar muy bello, a lo lejos se pueden observar mas montañas con poca vegetación.
Fue una tarde muy agradable, el viento soplaba fuerte, y se respiraba un aire puro y fresco con olor a montaña, un aroma muy exclusivo . No fue para nada agotador, ya que fuimos en horas de la tarde cuando el sol se estaba ocultando.
The terrain is rugged, many rocks, slopes, ups and downs, you can see the path to the lake, but we carried a moderate step to reach all together.
El terrero es escabroso, muchas rocas, desniveles, subidas y bajadas, se pueden ver el trayecto a la laguna, sin embargo llevábamos un paso moderado para poder llegar todos juntos.
We arrived at the site after the expected time, a little exhausted but encouraged ahead, we sat down for a while to rest and fill the water containers.
Llegamos al sitio luego del tiempo esperado, un poco agotados pero con ánimos adelante, nos sentamos un rato a descansar y a llenar los recipientes de agua.
We went to see other lakes a little higher up, but these are dry due to the summer, however when the rains start, all the land will be flooded and everything will be green again, with lots of water, so that the animals in the area can have grass and drink water from here.
Fuimos a ver otras lagunas un poco mas arriba, pero estas están secas debido al verano, sin embargo cuando comiencen las lluvias, todo el terreno se anegara y todo volverá a tener un color verde, con mucha agua, para que los animales de la zona puedan tener pasto y beber agua de aquí.
After being able to see all this area, and take some pictures, we decided to go back, since there was very little daylight left, and we still had to go down the mountain.
Luego de poder ver toda esta zona, y tomar algunas fotos, decidimos regresar, ya que quedaba muy poca luz de día, y aun debíamos descender la montaña.
This was all, my little walk to be able to remember old times of excursions, I saw it as a walk to practice, and improve my physical condition, hoping soon to be able to go again to walk with my friends.

Este fue todo, mi pequeña caminata para poder recordar viejos tiempos de excursiones, la vi como una caminata para practicar, y mejorar mi estado físico, esperando pronto poder ir nuevamente a caminar con mis amigos.
