Buenas noches querida comunidad de gems, hoy quiero contarles como fue mi experiencia, ingresando por primera vez desde que se dicto la cuarentena a un centro comercial y a un hipermercado en Venezuela. Quiero acotar que los centros comerciales estaban cerrados y estaba prohibida su apertura al publico, sin embargo en las ultimas semanas con la flexibilización que se dicto se les permite abrir hasta la 1pm.
Good night dear gems community, today I want to tell you how was my experience, entering for the first time since the quarantine was dictated to a shopping center and a hypermarket in Venezuela. I want to point out that the shopping centers were closed and prohibited from opening to the public, however in the last weeks with the relaxation that was dictated they are allowed to open until 1pm.
Esta vez fuimos a Arena Plaza que es un Centro Comercial y Parque Acuático, esta ubicado al este de Barquisimeto, y es uno de los centro comerciales mas visitados, ya que dentro de el esta uno de los hipermercados mas grandes de la ciudad llamado "Garzón". Al ingresar a este complejo hoy pude observar una gran cantidad de personas, y las medidas que se toman para la prevención del covid19 son excelentes, simplemente al ingresar a este lugar, te toman la temperatura comporal con un termómetro digital, también te paras sobre un alfombra empapada con un solución para desinsectar tu calzado.
This time we went to Arena Plaza which is a shopping center and water park, is located east of Barquisimeto, and is one of the most visited shopping centers, since within it is one of the largest hypermarkets in the city called "Garzon". When entering this complex today I could observe a great amount of people, and the measures that are taken for the prevention of covid19 are excellent, simply when entering this place, they take your behavioral temperature with a digital thermometer, also you stand on a soaked carpet with a solution to disinsect your shoes.
El interior del centro comercial es pequeño, sin embargo antes que se dictara la cuarentena era muy frecuentado, siempre se observaba un gran numero de personas, pero el día de hoy la gran mayoría de los locales estaban cerrados, y las personas se concentraban mayormente en entrar al hipermercado. Aquí hay tiendas de calzado, ropa, ópticas, aparatos electrónicos, teléfonos celulares, comida rápida y mas cosas, sin embargo solo algunas tenían publico y estaban abiertas.
The interior of the mall is small, however before the quarantine was issued it was very crowded, always observed a large number of people, but today the vast majority of the premises were closed, and people were concentrated mostly in entering the hypermarket. Here there are shops for shoes, clothes, opticians, electronic devices, cell phones, fast food and more things, however only some of them had an audience and were open.
Decidimos entrar el hipermercado, y para sorpresa todas las personas estaban allí, estaba repleto de compradores, resulta que los días jueves y viernes hay promociones en hortalizas y vegetales, ademas habían muchas ofertas para víveres, y todos los estantes estaban bien abastecidos, en todos los pasillos había un producto distinto y por grandes cantidades, entonces siendo sincero no es muy común ver este lugar tan abastecido como hoy.
Dimos algunas vueltas, y mi mami recordó que la próxima semana es de cuarentena estricta, así que decidimos hacer nuestras compras aquí, como lo hacían todas las personas.
We decided to enter the hypermarket, and to our surprise all the people were there, it was full of shoppers, it turns out that on Thursdays and Fridays there are promotions on vegetables, in addition there were many offers for groceries, and all the shelves were well stocked, in all the aisles there was a different product and for large quantities, so to be honest it is not very common to see this place so stocked as it is today.
We went around a bit, and my mom remembered that next week is strict quarantine, so we decided to do our shopping here, like everyone else did.
Es sumamente difícil ir de compras con mi mamá, literalmente escoge el mismo producto 3 o 4 veces, y cuando encuentra uno mas bonito o presentable va y cambia el anterior, así que tardamos muchos minutos comprando hortalizas y verduras. Estos productos eran de primera calidad, la verdad tenían un costo bajo en comparación a otros sitios y ofrecían mucha calidad, papas, tomates, aliños, plátanos, zahanorias todo lo que había estaba en muy buen estado, así que este es el por que habían tantas personas el día de hoy. Sin embargo no estuve muy de acuerdo en la manera en la que las personas incluyendo a mi mamá se aglomeraban para escoger las verduras, aunque al entrar nos desinfectaron las manos con gel y estaban limpiando constantemente el suelo y los estantes, creo que eran muchas personas en un mismo sitio, y es mejor prevenir.
It is extremely difficult to go shopping with my mom, she literally chooses the same product 3 or 4 times, and when she finds a nicer or more presentable one she goes and changes the previous one, so it takes many minutes to buy vegetables. These products were of first quality, the truth was that they had a low cost in comparison to other places and they offered a lot of quality, potatoes, tomatoes, dressings, bananas, chanorias, everything that was in very good condition, so this is why there were so many people today. However, I did not agree with the way the people, including my mother, were crowding together to choose the vegetables, although when we entered they disinfected our hands with gel and were constantly cleaning the floor and the shelves, I think there were many people in the same place, and it is better to prevent.
Estuve caminando un poco por los pasillos, y no exagero cuando digo que es la primera vez que se puede encontrar de todo aquí, en la parte de carnicería, charcutería, embutidos, licores, pude encontrar distintas marcas del mismo producto, cereales, arroz, pasta, leche en polvo y muchas mas cosas.
Supongo que con los cambios de la cuarentena flexible, tuvieron el tiempo para abastecer muy bien el local, y que todas las personas pudieran hacer sus comprar y encontrar variedad en la semana donde la cuarentena no es estricta.
I have been walking around a little bit, and I am not exaggerating when I say that it is the first time that you can find everything here, in the butcher's, delicatessen, sausage, liquor store, I could find different brands of the same product, cereals, rice, pasta, powdered milk and many more things.
I suppose that with the changes of the flexible quarantine, they had the time to supply the place very well, and that all the people could do their shopping and find variety in the week where the quarantine is not strict.
Me llamo mucho la atención que un chef estaba preparando una receta para los clientes, todos estaban observando (incluyendo nuevamente a mi mami) la manera de preparar este plato, y esperando ansiosos para poder probarlo, y yo no pude evitar acercarme para pedir la receta, y es algo que traeré pronto a Hive.
It caught my attention that a chef was preparing a recipe for the customers, everyone was watching (including my mom again) how to prepare this dish, and waiting anxiously to try it, and I couldn't help but approach to ask for the recipe, and it's something I'll bring to Hive soon.
Y bueno lo mas chistoso de todo, es que nunca pueda faltar una falla eléctrica en Venezuela, estés donde estés, por 1 minuto se fue la luz, y todo quedo completamente a oscuras. Simplemente hay que reír para no llorar.
And well the funniest thing of all, is that you can never miss an electrical failure in Venezuela, wherever you are, for 1 minute the light went out, and everything was completely dark. You just have to laugh so you don't cry.
Nuestra visita culmino en la fila para pagar, aunque estaba un poco larga, no tardamos mas de 30 minutos, y para mi fue súper rápido.
Our visit culminated in the line to pay, although it was a little long, we did not take more than 30 minutes, and for me it was super fast.
Sinceramente me gustaría saber como están este tipo de cosas en todos los estados, incluso en otras partes del mundo ¿Como se encuentran los centro comerciales, vacíos o llenos?, ¿Como se encuentran los supermercados?, se que al inicio de la cuarentena, todo el mundo estaba en pánico y en muchos supermercados los productos de primera necesidad se agotaban, y personas peleaban por papel higiénico, quisiera saber como esta todo 90 días después.
I would sincerely like to know how this kind of thing is in all states, even in other parts of the world. How are the shopping malls, empty or full?, how are the supermarkets?, I know that at the beginning of the quarantine, everybody was in a panic and in many super markets the basic necessities were exhausted, and people were fighting for toilet paper, I would like to know how everything is 90 days later.
