Erecting A DAMAGED Signboard Due to Strong Winds Resulting from Rainfall

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog at this hour. We have started the raining season in Nigeria for some months now and it has been a sweet moment as the weather is always cool and less sunny. The impact of the rainy weather has affected so many people in different ways such as providing enough water for farmers to plant, flooded areas due to lack of adequate drainage system, and so on. In our case in my office it's quite different, so sit back and enjoy all that I have packaged for your reading pleasure.

We all know that rainfall comes with wind and sometimes it could be so strong that it can bend an iron. The constant rainfall that comes with strong winds have weakened the base of our signboard in the office and it finally fell off after all attempts to manage it by using ropes to tie it to another stronger pole close it.

We had to seek the service of a welder who suggested a new way to prevent the same thing from reoccurring again. He suggested we get a bigger pole and insert the smaller one inside and he'd also put a lock on the two sides so that we can tighten it anytime we feel like it's lose. He also suggested we print another banner as the former one was faded and looking old.

The process

  • He started by removing the old banner from the signboard frames.

  • He detached and used a sandpaper to scrape the one still glued to the body.

  • He used gum to rub the four edges of the new banner

  • He carefully glued the edges on the iron frame.

  • He prepared the bigger pole, dug the ground and used cement and sand to fix it on the ground.
