Hello everyone! Today I am going to share my February bullet journal calendar layout and how did I decorate it. It is the month of Valentine's Day but I am not big on it generally. This might seem like a cliche thing to say but I do believe that when we are happy, every day feels special and we don't need to wait until Valentine's day t celebrate it. It is more of just another day for me. However, to each to their own as everyone have a different perception of it.
This is my drawing of the outline of my calendar. It is just a simple pencil outline.
These are all of my plain washi tapes by the way. I have about 40 of them. The 7 tapes I have laid out on the front of the box are the colours that I chose for this layout. I have already done pink and red themes before so this time I wanted something different. I picked greens and pinks. I do have a reason for this but I won't state it here because it is kind of personal :D
I cut the tapes into little strips and wrote the names of the days of the week in black gel pen. My old pen ink just got dried and I had to get a new one. This ink takes a while to dry and I usually wait so I don't accidentally smudge them like I have done a few times before.
In the meantime of waiting for them to dry, I picked some washi tape sets for the decoration. I have many pink tapes but very few with greens. I guess someday I will be buying a set with green as I have all the other colours.
The tapes have dried and I stick them up on top like this. I mixed the colours in such a way that it alternates between green and pink.
This is what I came up with. It looks simple but it was time consuming because I wanted everything to be mostly pink and green. I did slip in a few reds. Most of the stickers are cakes, macaroons, cupcakes, leaves and hearts. I enjoy making this layout every month because it makes me feel like a child again.
I also did a notes section on the side, sticking to the theme colours of green and pink. These are just some important things I need to get done. Since it is already the middle of the month, I have already gotten most of them done and the one thing left is something I need to buy which is a mesh bag for laundry. The second part is a list of issues regarding my Shopee seller account which I need to check and update.
I used some muted highlighters to write Valentine's Day on top.
These are just some drawings of flowers and a butterfly surrounded by many hearts. The highlighters are called Milkliners by the way. They are quite cheap and affordable for those on a budget like me.
This is the final layout of February. I just filled in the events of the month like festivals and birthdays. I will be filling in the memories of each month in black but I am not going to post them here as some of them are too personal and I don't want them out in the public.
