¡Saludos estimados amigos!, esperando se encuentren bien y compartiendo en familia me uno a esta iniciativa de los compañeros de @hispapro apoyada por @theycallmedan. Aquí muestro un poco de las costumbres decembrinas que celebramos en mi casa aparte de la gastronomía navideña y parte de la celebración.

A pesar de todo lo que estamos viviendo en Venezuela en este 2020, no he perdido la fe ni las esperanzas para desear que el próximo año sea mucho mejor para mi familia, amigos y todo el mundo, que la situación mejore y sobre todas las cosas tengamos mucha salud. Que Dios los acompañe siempre.

Hablando de gastronomía, una de las cosas que más me gusta para los que ya me conocen es la creatividad a la hora de cocinar, con cuatro ingredientes hago lo que puedo y siempre sale algo bueno, tengo a los comilones de la casa como testigo y quieren repetir. Como plato navideño principal tenemos la hallaca y los bollos navideños.
Speaking of gastronomy, one of the things that I like the most for those who already know me is creativity when cooking, with four ingredients I do what I can and something good always comes out, I have the eaters of the house as a witness and they want to repeat. As a main Christmas dish we have the Halca and the Christmas buns.
Los ingredientes principales que uso son: Carne de res, carne de cerdo, pollo, aceitunas, alcaparras, pasitas, cebollín, cilantro, cebolla, pimentón, ajies, tocineta, y las hojas de plátano para las hallacas.
The main ingredients I use are: Beef, pork, chicken, olives, capers, raisins, chives, coriander, onion, paprika, peppers, bacon, and banana leaves for the Hallas.
En cada región de Venezuela se hacen de diferentes maneras y cada persona tiene su sazón, le pone ese toque especial con su ingrediente favorito, en los andes venezolanos le agregan garbanzo, huevo, papas etc. Yo la he comido hasta con pescado y es muy sabrosa.
In each region of Venezuela they are made in different ways and each person has their seasoning, they add that special touch with their favorite ingredient, in the Venezuelan Andes they add chickpeas, eggs, potatoes etc. I have even eaten it with fish and it is very tasty.
Siempre nos hemos acostumbrado hacerlas a la leña, no por el problema actual con el gas en mi país, sino para que agarren ese sabor especial a hallaca ahumada, muy sabrosa también cuando realizamos los hervidos de res los días 25 de diciembre. También acostumbramos a hacer el ponche crema de auyama, muy sabroso también y aparte con lo que sobra de la preparación de la masa hacemos los llamados bollos navideños, muy sabrosos y en la cual se le puede añadir picante, excelentes como pasapalos.
We have always gotten used to making them with firewood, not because of the current problem with gas in my country, but so that they get that special flavor of smoked Halca, very tasty also when we make boiled res on December 25. We also use to make squash cream punch, also very tasty and apart with what is left over from the preparation of the dough we make the so-called Christmas buns, very tasty and in which you can add spicy, excellent as appetizers.
Entre los muchachos y mi marido empiezan a prender la leña, se le agrega la sal al agua y al hervir vamos añadiendo las hallacas, con 30 min de cocción tendremos este manjar culinario muy venezolano. Junto con el pernil, asado negro, pan de jamón, ensalada de gallina o de pollo y los bollos hacen que el venezolano disfrute de la mejor forma posible una excelente navidad junto a la familia y amigos.Me gusta divertirme, disfrutar de los buenos momentos en familia, soy una mujer alegre y junto a mi esposo nos disfrazamos al estar listas las hallacas y nos tomamos las fotos finales disfrutando de las navidades.
