As it is mild like spring, I went out to our garden with my daughter. She caught cold and stayed at home last three days. The temperature up and down or down and up from -18 to 18 degree was hard 😅
She recovered almost and we decided to have lunch and do some garden work.
When we went out, Crocus' purple flower popped in our eyes. Bulb plants such as garlic and tulip are slowly slowly growing. I tried to improve the soil around the area with compost last season. It's my first time to plant garlic directly. I wish the soil is OK for them.
We sowed carrot and spinach that we can start in February.
While we were tidying up containers, we found carrots popped out their heads 🥕They survived the snow ... !
A lady bug was there. It made us happy too. I wish she invites a lot of her friends and eat up aphids in our garden 😁
Then we had a good outdoor lunch time. I remember one year ago during the lockdown, we ate lunch often after garden work. One year almost past already. Time pasts so quick!

今日は風邪で自宅療養中の子どもがほぼ回復していたので、一緒に庭仕事をして外でお昼ご飯を食べました。
クロッカスが咲いていたり、ニンニクやチューリップなど去年植えた球根がゆっくり育っていたり、春が近づいていることを感じました。
2月にまけるほうれんそうとにんじんの種をまいて、プランターの整理をしていたら、去年まいた人参がちょぼっと残っていました。子どもが楽しそうに抜いていたので、にんじんはお店で買っても安いですが今シーズンも春に育てようと思います。てんとう虫も見つけて、やっぱり庭、いいですね。
最後に日向ぼっこをしながらお昼を食べました。庭仕事＋外ランチ、去年ロックダウン中によくやったなあと懐かしく思い出しました。もうあれから1年が経とうとしていると思うと、時が経つのは早いですね。
今年も春夏の庭を楽しみたいです 😊

こちらは春の鳥は聞こえるようになりましたが、庭仕事まではまだまだ遠そうです。
今年は唐辛子をいろいろ育てて食べ比べてみたいなと思っています。去年育てた中米の唐辛子がとてもおもしろい味（辛くなくてフルーティー・・・「フルーティー」をもっと語彙豊富に説明したいです。。）だったので。あとはナスを今年こそマスターしたいです。トマトは選択と集中かな。去年は育てすぎました😅
去年トマトに偏りすぎたのを反省して今年は多様性を重視しつつ、唐辛子と茄子中心に、あとはお花もがんばりたいです！
