The Branch Davidians did damage one of the helicopters that was shooting at the compound.
Causing it to be called off.
From my point of view, it was a good shoot.
Police, any policing action, they show up, in the daylight, well recognizable and with clear stated intent.
Anything else should result in a clear case where you have the right to defend yourself with deadly force.
And that police force should be reported as being terrorists.
No knock raids only exist because good people rarely shoot at unknown targets. They first try to make sure who it is. So, we clearly have a case of innocent people vs terrorists.
And what happened in WACO still boils my blood.
no knock raids only exist because NIXON wanted an excuse to throw the hippies and black panthers in prison.
and now we've all been brainwashed to believe "druggz iz teh evil", and yet the same human short-circuit dopamine mechanisms are still perfectly legal in casinos and gas stations everywhere (just as long as the mob of mobs gets their cut).
What happened at Waco boils my blood too. I realize that they claim they landed a chopper after it took fire, but I wonder if there was any photographic evidence of that. Evidence is a funny thing in the Waco massacre. They did manage to make the entire front door vanish so it couldn't be disproven that they "took fire from" the Davidians through the front door on the outside of the building. However, the way that Chipman says "shot down" paints a specific picture. As far as I know, nobody uses shot down in that sense. They might say: "was forced to land," and that'd be the correct way to frame it. Twenty-seven years later, and this motherfucker is just making shit up. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he said that just because he knew he was going to pursue the position at ATF. Thanks for your point of view on the matter, @builderofcastles!
Update:
"While it is largely understood that Branch Davidian members shot at the helicopters, the vessels themselves did not go down.
Most notably, no Barretts were recovered at the scene of the massacre.
“Although all of the three helicopters sustained damage from weapons fire, none of the National Guard crews or ATF aboard were injured,” a 1996 House report conducted in tandem by the Oversight and Judiciary Committees found." — NYPost
That happened after the government broke the rules of engagement by initiating hostile actions against an otherwise peaceful group of people. Seventy-seven people died, and most of them burned alive. No knock raids are retarded AF. They probably want this guy in so he can wage war on the American people.
