A Doer or A Talker

The instant gratification world we now live in has been one that has everyone talking about it, and talking about it is what many do leaving out the space to begin doing things they should be doing because its better to talk about the new technology that makes your food cooks faster without trying to do or build something of our own that can be used and talked about by others.

I find myself talking about doing things without actually doing them. The same goes for billions of people around the world. One of those things people consider to be making them a talker instead of a doer is social media.

Some groups of people would say it’s due to the social media evolution that has made it possible to use most of our time chatting on social media. In the current world, a protest is now a normal thing that is being started first on social media trending pages before it becomes a street-to-street protest.

The society today we can call it all talking but no doing or little doing environment. Social media for example are being built by a few devs and used by millions and billions of users worldwide. The consequence of controlling the masses is another topic but when we are talking about how people now believe in talking or chatting their way out of things instead of doing it has become easy to be a talker instead of a doer.

Im also a part of those talkers too and I’m seeing what is the thing between myself and doing. It's clear social media is one of those things and it's what takes most of our daily time today. Even some people have stayed away thinking they never get back in again only to get back at it after a few months or even years. However this case I think that detoxing for a while is better than going off totally because you think social media is evil.

Social media isn't bad but if it's what turns us into a talker instead of a doer then trying to cut it out for a while is appropriate. But trying to go off completely is considered extreme because wherever we go we can't run from social media and technology or people trying to talk to us about them.

Do you like to do things or talk about doing them, let me know your experience and how social media impacts your activity rate in the comment box.

agree that modern tech, especially social media has contributed to being a distracting factor-- one minute one is busy with a certain task then the next second you just feel the itch to grab your phone to check on some things-- not really noticing that you've taken your hands off of what you were previously on task with. relatable reading this, thanks for sharing! 😁

You're right, and every minute we spend checking our phone is approximately an hour plus. Before we get back to what we were doing it becomes more easier to just leave the task and spend another minute on the phone.

This is so relatable. How you view social media varies depending on how you use it. We can inculcate daily breaks when it comes to using phones and social media.

Daily breaks are the best way to keep things in check.
