Why Clickbaits are Bad

in Proof of Brain3 years ago

There is a lot of clickbait on the internet and a lot of people are cheating their viewers with the clickbait. And that is dishonest way of working with the content and the audience. And so it is always necessary to be blunt and to the point with your readers especially if you want to monetize the audience.

Why Clickbaits have it wrong?

We are going to see some strong reasons on why the clickbaits are bad and how can they affect the experience of the people who visit the webpage. So we are going to see one reason at the time.

Dishonesty

You see a lot of vlog videos where they add title like "she said yes to me". And inside they be like she said yes to me to buy a kitten from shelter. So it's like total dishonesty for the clickbait title. And that is very dishonest for anyone who consider themselves genuine content creator.

Not meeting the final outcome

You feel cheated when you don't get what you wanted out the content. You feel like you wanted ice cream and you are getting water out of the same. So you are not meeting the final outcome. So you have to make sure to think how the clickbaits are going to be working out for you.

Non genuine creators

Such creators are not genuine and they add no value in the content creation world. They are just trolling and watching their content is like nothing more than trolling. And nothing good ever comes out of that sort of the content. You have to ignore those type of the content creators and their content too.

Conclusion

Clickbaits add no value. And instead they create more of the problem for the viewers. You have to ignore the content and often ignoring such content creators is what needs to be done for long term too. I personally avoid such type of the clickbait content creators who don't give what you want.

How do you deal with the content creators who use the clickbaits? Do you ignore their content or read their content?

Sort:

Clickbait is wrong no matter what, yet truthful headlines with no interest factor don't get as many clicks. It's very tricky making a headline that's intriguing yet not clickbait.

If you go to a web site known for clickbait and end up reading a posting there, that's one thing. If you go to a normal web site and discover clickbait, that can be anything betwen disappointing and infuriating. The creator of the past gets clicks, but will it cost that creator in other ways such as reputation or overall loss of traffic? Only time will tell.
