You have to look at looper! The premise is about assassination are done in the past, time paradoxes and the consequences of our action's, definitely a movie that has you debriefing with friend after (don't worry most of this is revealed in the first 5 mins!).
Second suggestion if I may is In Time, the premise is what if we could live forever but time became the new currency, the rich get richer but the poorer die sooner
I have already watched these two movies (which, by the way, are very interesting).
