Addictiveness To The Propaganda Of Politics & Religion; How Do We Help It?

in Proof of Brain3 years ago

The ability to hold one's will and maintain a solid resolve is something that is becoming increasingly difficult. Nowadays the media sells vendetta, agenda and of course amplifies various trends that makes it rather difficult to of course look back to what we consider "norms" and "values". The influence of other cultures over another is another big issue.

Sometimes people find it difficult to have the mindset of what is right and wrong and what should be deemed to be important. This is because we have so many strong voices in the human society. People who see either wealthy, religious or even political. A lot of people form their opinion by listening to people who they deem to be their perfect role model and hence they tend to lose their voice.

The suprising thing is that people fail to acknowledge it when they're beginning to lose themselves. Politics and religion are two human "thingy" that always puts people at wars, conflict, disagreement and difference and this is why it's easier for government to sell agendas to the general public, using the appeal of religion and politics.

What we see and hear alone is an influence on our anatomy, the things we're made up of. At one point in time, we begin to lose our core beliefs, we're being coerced to see things from another impactful point of view and this arises emotion within people and this makes them begin to doubt themselves, begin to change who they are, begin to buy into the games of manipulators and those selling propaganda for their own benefits.

One thing about propaganda is that it targets a specific audience, the gullible, the weak and those with void. Sometimes an agenda is already planted in the mind and it becomes easier to plant agenda, disbelief and confusion in the minds of people. This is a huge tool used by many governments in the world.

For example in Nigeria. Everyone currently believes that the government led by Muhammadu Buhari is the worst in the history of Nigeria, the internet has made this even more obvious. The memes and jokes online has aggrandised how terrible the government is, not that this isn't actually true but then it create a feeling of anger and people are beginning to go diabolical. But then the funny thing is that this same person will still win the election should he contest again and why is this?

Agenda, purpose, propaganda and of course greasing the palms of the right people. Everything is all about buying the right and influential people to sell an idea to the general public. It takes away the common sense of people with a strong emotional appeal.

This is just to say that the society itself presents a stronger influence on people, it's no more about having the moral efficacy to do the right thing. Pressure is real and pretty much what ruins our resolve, in a bid to do what seems right many have found themselves doing the questionable things. This is so show that sometimes we don't own some of the choices we make, they don't radiate from our truest essence. Sometimes it hurts when we act under pressure, seeking redemption and seeking emancipation.

The world is filled with many who would act then think later, it's often difficult to control the rave, when we're in the thick of things. One thing I've tried doing is used the social media quite less, it helps me begin to redefine myself, what I stand for and begin to correct my mistakes.

As for religion and politics, I often try hard to look to true spirituality because religion and politics lacks altruism. When we begin to look inwards, it'll help us to find our voice again. Help us create the right perspective to how we view things. Iresspective, we're caught in this race and we must take a stand because it is difficult to live in an additive world and not get influenced.

I think the best way to do things is to look at all points of view then decide. Do I like reading both sides? No because there is a lot of bs in it. But I do think its better to do so and then make an informed opinion since both sides leaves things out.

It's always important to do as you've said, sometimes all we need is to be really equipped with the right information and ideas when listening or talking. I don't like getting influenced by any of them either.
