Today is Saturday and in two days we will know who are the three winners of the "Just Write" contest, but first I want to make the second and last update about it. For those who don't know about the contest, as in the first update, here is the link to the post that started it all so you can learn more about it.
But to summarize ...
...is a contest to try to give an initial boost to the new users of the POB community and in which, to participate, you only need to do what we normally do here, write. To select the users that will enter the contest I will look for posts that have been written directly from the POB interface and in addition, the authors must meet the requirement of having less than 400 POB Power. The results of the three winners will be announced on Monday, May 17, 2021.
Today's update is to show the new participants that I have chosen since the last update until now. My idea with this is to share the posts of the new authors in the community that I find before the time is up to vote for the posts, thanks to which I found them. In this way the community also has the chance to get to know the authors, judge their works and give them some love through voting if they think it is deserved.
The list of new participants who meet all the requirements to enter the contest is this:
- The dreamlike delusions of Italo Calvino in O Catelo dos Destinos Cruzados by @caroline.muller - If you don't know the writer Italo Calvino this is a good introduction to one of his works.
- The power of motivation by @maribeln - How strong is the power of motivation? This post is part of @calumam's "POB Word of the Week : Power #005" contest.
- What makes me happy? by @sheila23 - What makes us happy? Sheila tells us what makes her happy.
- Not all opportunities come twice in life by @teeygold - She tells us that we have to take advantage of the opportunities life gives us, take risks. Do you agree with her?
- Would Artificially Intelligent Integrated Automation be a bad thing? by @jaxsonmurph - Artificial intelligence, beneficial or evil? Jaxson exposes different aspects of it and it's up to us to decide the answer.
- (ESP-ENG) Read your Hive stats in HiveStats and see all tokens earned / Lee tus estadísticas de Hive en HiveStats y observa todos los tokens ganados by @lexiws - A very detailed tutorial of the Hivestats application in English and Spanish.
As you can see, there are 6 more, giving a total of 17 contestants so far.
Like the last time, I want to say that starting this contest has been a journey of discovery. Discovering new authors and also more veteran authors in the community that I didn't know. As you can imagine I have found many more interesting authors than the ones on the list but because of the conditions imposed to participate in the contest they have been left out, not so from my list of people I follow 🙂
I have also started to curate more actively, giving priority mostly to posts written directly from the POB interface. Although I also take into account good posts that only use the #proofofbrain TAG.
I want to end by inviting the community again to read the posts and visit the authors' profiles so you can form your own opinion about them. It is up to you to decide whether you vote on the posts or not and whether you want to follow the authors or not. Part of the reason for this contest is to give this kind of promotion to these new authors as they have earned it.

Hoy es sábado y en dos días se sabrá quienes son los tres ganadores del concurso "Solo escribe", pero antes quiero hacer la segunda y ultima actualización sobre el mismo. Para los que no sepan sobre el concurso, como en la primera actualización, aquí les dejo el enlace al post con el que se inició todo para que así conozcan más sobre el mismo.
...es un concurso para tratar de dar un impulso inicial a los nuevos usuarios de la comunidad de POB y en el cual, para participar, solo se necesita hacer lo que ya hacemos normalmente aquí, escribir. Para seleccionar a los usuarios que entraran a concursar buscaré entre los posts que se hayan escrito directamente desde la interface de POB y además, los autores deben cumplir con el requisito de tener menos de 400 POB Power. Los resultados de quienes son los tres ganadores se darán el lunes 17 de Mayo del 2021.
La actualización de hoy es para mostrar los nuevos participantes que he escogido desde la ultima actualización hasta ahora. Mi idea con esto es compartir los post de los nuevos autores en la comunidad que vaya encontrando antes de que termine el tiempo de poder votar los posts por los que los encontré en primer lugar. Así la comunidad también tiene la posibilidad de conocer a los autores, juzgar sus obras y darle un poco de cariño a través del voto si cree que se lo merecen.

Como la vez anterior, quiero decir que el haber iniciado este concurso ha sido el iniciar un viaje de descubrimientos. Descubrir nuevos autores y también autores ya más veteranos en la comunidad que no conocía. Como imaginaran he encontrado muchos más autores interesantes de los que están en la lista pero por las condiciones impuestas para participar en el concurso se han quedado fuera, no así de mi lista de personas a las que sigo. 🙂
También he comenzado a curar más activamente, dando prioridad sobre todo a los posts escritos directamente desde la interface de POB. Aunque también tengo en cuenta buenos posts que solamente usan el TAG #proofofbrain.
Para terminar quiero invitar a la comunidad nuevamente a que lea los posts y a que visite el perfil de los autores para que puedan formar su propia opinión sobre los mismos. En ustedes está el decidir si votan los posts o no y si quieren seguir a los autores o no. Parte del motivo por el que se hace este concurso, es dar este tipo de promoción a esos nuevos autores pues se lo han ganado.
