REVIEW OF MY 2021 GOALS AND NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION

At the beginning of the year, I had some goals and resolutions written down that I wanted to accomplish and you might be wondering why I am reviewing them right now instead of at the end of the year and my reason is simple, I feel like I still have time right now to be able to accomplish some of them so why not do this and be held accountable.

At this point I will be going over a few of the goals I had, to see which ones I achieved, which ones I didn’t, and what can be done to probably achieve them before the year rounds off, so here they are.

  1. Join a department in the church: as a Christian, we are taught about how service is important in the church and this was on top of my list for 2021, and it was actually the first thing I did this year. I joined the editorial department in my church and I have actively been serving so this was a success.
  2. Take better care of myself: I always felt like I neglected myself so I wanted to do better this year which I don’t think I did well enough but I guess I didn’t fail at trying to do this.
  3. Read more (at least a hundred books): I think I started the year doing this very well but then I fell off when I got to book 33 because I was trying not to read just fictional books so I kind of got tired especially since I hated reading non-fiction online. I don’t think I can read up to a hundred books before the year ends but maybe next year I will do better.
  4. Be intentional about my Christian life: well, I would say I haven’t been perfect at doing this but I have been trying and even though I get sidetracked on this journey, it has been pretty good.
  5. Have a better social life: I failed at this one, period. I put this down because I realized that I was spending too much time indoors and I wasn’t socializing enough and my brothers tagged me ‘the house hermit” which I think I just have to accept at this point because this was so hard to do. I think I will still try from now to go out more and make friends with humans.
  6. Save more: I was on the track with this but then I had an emergency and had to pull it out but I will still continue doing this.
  7. Get into a stable relationship: The only reason this was in my goals was because I had a phobia for relationships and I couldn’t keep one for almost 2 years so I really wanted to get in and not want to get out which I think was a bit of a success, I guess.
  8. Finish the Bible: a big success because I am almost done, I read the new testament and I am in Micah in the old testament.
  9. Avoid sticky situations: I have always found myself in situations I regretted in the previous years so this was important to me and I successfully did this by learning how to say no.
  10. Work on my finances: I guess this one is a process because I am currently on it and I am not yet where I want to be but I know that soon enough.
  11. Change my style: for the longest time I haven’t felt comfortable in my skin and I know one of the reasons was this so I have been trying to spice it up a bit which I did a little bit but I believe I still have more to do.
  12. Be happy: as someone who has dealt with depression and faked happiness for so long, this was important to me and I did amazing here even though I had times where I was miserable and unhappy, I think this was the first year that I wasn’t suicidal.

I probably had more goals but I feel like these were the most important and I am grateful that I could achieve the few that I did because I have never actually tried to accomplish the goals I had put down in previous years.

I would try to accomplish the ones I haven’t if I can and start working towards putting down goals for 2022.

So to you, did you have goals for 2021, and did you achieve them? Also if you didn’t achieve them, why do you think you didn’t?

Thank you for opening this box of passion

This is a very smart thing to do.

Oh wow. Hmmmm, I'm not sure I have the right words here but life definitely gets better. It may not seem like it but it eventually will as long as you keep doing your part.
Hang in there love.

Yeah, life does get better, a lot better.

I've realized that this year.

Hmm.
Those are some interesting goals you have.. And I am glad you made stride towards all of them.

You are not the type that makes goals for the show of it. You did and its sure a good time to start recanting how well you did. Thats what November Ideally should be for.
By December, we re preparing for the next year.
It is important to be happy over all, with your self, whether goals were met or not. I m glad you included that.

Your goals are... Wow. I'm glad i met you @khaleesii

Awwwnnn, thank you so much babes.

Wow you have read 33 books. I don’t think I have read up to a book this year 😂😄😄. Now you are making me think of what I am doing with my life.

With that bible aspect, I have never read a full chapter in the Bible not to talk about almost completing it.

You would be very intelligent because you read a lot.

I don’t think I have read up to a book this year 😂😄

Lazy bones 🤣😏😒

Smiles… the number of blogs that I have read here would be almost a book.

I don't think we can compare blog reading to books. You need more than just vibes to read a book... Lol

Hmm… I am not very used to it though. What else do one need to read a book if vibes is not enough.

Curiosity kills the cat.... There, your answer 😁

😆 you are doing different things with your life and about the Bible, I read 5 chapters on most days so I think you can start with one.

Everyone is different and books aren't the only source of intelligence.

Its cool you have been to stick to a lot of things and become better. What does the editorial department do in your church?

Wow, you are almost finishing the Bible this year.... Kudos.

I am glad your relationship phobia has been tamed. For your isolation, I think you need people or friends who are outgoing, so they will drag you along every time.

The editorial department takes testimony from members and edits it.

Most of my friends are like me so how do I go out 😆 my partner is even worse.

Ewoooo 🙆🤣🤣. You need new friends babe 😂😏

The editorial department takes testimony from members and edits it.

Oh wow. That cool and sounds like fun. You get to see and read a testimony first before the whole world reads or hear it.

You need new friends
Where do I find them na, especially since I don't go out

And yeah the editorial department is cool.
