The American defeat in Afghanistan, explained in one word: Biden.

in Proof of Brain3 years ago

The Soviet Union tried, the USA too, but both failed. The mission to control Afghanistan seems to have come to an end, with a catastrophic decision: the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan, ordered recently by Joe Biden. The billions of billions spent over the past 20 years to maintain the country's military structures, as well as on humanitarian aid, training the Afghan army, purchasing modern vehicles and equipment for the local government fleet, has gone down the drain. The result of 20 years of many battles and much bloodshed, with the aim of pacifying the region and installing a democratic government, it seems that it did not work as expected, the excessive and arduous effort was in vain. It is unacceptable that the thousands of lives lost in a cause that the US has bought are not rewarded as they should, the freedom of that nation, ending in a single stroke. It took two decades of great dedication in the country, which ended up returning in the hands of the group that dominated the region, before the American arrival and in a few days, without any resistance from the Afghan military and even less from the Americans, practically dominated the entire Afghanistan.

The news traveled the world with concern among Western countries and countries around, because the advance of terrorist groups in the Middle East will mean a dark and alarming future. As if that wasn't enough, the al Qaeda terrorist group, like the Taliban, won a victory without having to impose themselves on the dreaded American army. Just to give you an idea, the Americans in the Iraq war managed to achieve the ultimate goal, which was to install a peaceful government in the region, in which they remained even after the withdrawal of allied troops from the West, unlike what happened with Afghanistan that, soon after announcing the withdrawal of American troops from Afghan soil, in a few days, the extremist Taliban regime, already controlled most areas of the country.

To top it off, a cell of the Islamic state's radical extremist group dared to blow up two suicide bombers near the airport, killing hundreds of civilians, including American soldiers. The affront of terrorist groups against world authorities is visible, from now on it is possible that things tend to get considerably worse, do not expect peace in a place where, since antiquity, it has been marked by tribal wars and countless invasions by foreign peoples, fomenting a war in the Middle East it's like shooting yourself in the foot, there the war never ends, there are only battles won, but the war will never end until the world is uninhabitable.

Joe Biden showed in a few months of government that being a real disaster in foreign geopolitics, as if it were not enough, is the target of much criticism by the European leaders, who sought a viable explanation of what Biden had in mind, which he decided to withdraw from nothing. American troops, without first having an elaborate plan of defense strategies and support from Afghan civilians. The political instability seems to be shaken, what can happen later is, increase of terrorist attacks and, signs of new wars, the world is chaotic, everything indicates that the human civilization walks with great strides towards a prominent destruction.

Well, the blow back will come but only because they invaded in the first place. In time, people will be going there from the U.S. to teach English.

I think so too, but Biden is making a very messed up foreign politic, without looking at the consequences, regrettable.

I hate this "war". It seemed more of a means to an ambiguous political end than anything else I've read about. No clear enemy. No clear agenda. More like a staging ground of economic distribution built on the backs of volunteers.

Exactly. These wars in the East are only for political pretexts, it is like entering a war that will have no end. As they had already invaded in 2001, they would have to at least have a concrete plan for a safe and efficient exit, without harming the Afghans, who felt protected by the American presence in the region.

I did not expect the US to back down like this, I just hope everything would be alright.

The winner of American Election "Biden"

In a democratic country, the decision of the majority of the electorate has to prevail, it has passed from 50.01%, it has already become the "majority". Now Biden's rash decisions have become a bone of contention among many global leaders. I think there was a lack of dialogue and plans with the leaders.

Biden doesn't care about anything, he wants to screw everyone up.

I never believed Biden to be the one in charge given his news interviews.

Because he was the top American leader, Biden made the final streak without first foreseeing the consequences. To enter a war is to lose billions, trillions, but to leave you have to have elaborate strategies and plans, Afghanistan was never prepared to deal with the American exit, they were just living under American protection, and that seems to be enough and they forgot that, to generate stability in the country there must be democracy, something that afghanistan and many eastern countries do not have, they are tribal peoples who live under Islamic laws, where religion is the law and politics. The worst thing is that, the US lost trillions to end up in what we are witnessing in the news, everything has returned to what it was before.

I think, Biden picked the wrong sticks.

Infact let Government bring good new to our hearing instead bad new at all time.

The problem is that the immediate departure from Afghan territory would have consequences, but now it seems that things are on fire, there was a lack of planning.
