The Pains We Feel When Cheated on by Our Lovers are Nothing but Codes Programmed into Us by Our Societies

Many of us have been in that position, we find out our lover or spouse had relations with someone else, oh the pain! We've also seen it reported on the news about people who did atrocious things to their spouses because they caught them cheating and well some of you who are reading this may have done atrocious things too in revenge 🌚🌚👀

But until y'all deeds get to the news, we'd make do with highlighting the fact that a lot has been reported already about people pouring acid on their spouses, cutting them up, decapitating them, destroying their properties, etc because they caught them cheating. Sometimes these things are done to the person who their lover cheated on them with.

Now, I'm about to tell you that this pain and anger we get whenever we're cheated on that drives us to carry out brutal acts of vengeance are actually just codes programmed into us by society, just things our societies told us to do and we're obeying quite like a willing flock. So why do I say this?

Many of us heard about Samuel Paty the French Secondary School Teacher who was beheaded by a Muslim student for showing a cartoonized version of the Muslim Prophet Mohammed. This is how great a role social conditioning can play in our lives, would you expect a Christian or Buddhist to be so provoked as to behead someone if they show them the same cartoonized photo of Mohammed? No, for sure! Mohammed is not the Christian or Buddhist Prophet and besides Christians and Buddhists have different world views.

This same way that most Muslims have been indoctrinated and made to be triggered by certain things that would never trigger a Christian or Buddhist is the same way some of our societies have indoctrinated us to be triggered by cheating.

We all know that some societies are monogamous (one man, one wife), some polygamous (one man more than one wife) and others polyandrous (one woman many husbands). Read this excerpt from a Wikipedia article on polyandry:?

Of the 1,231 societies listed in the 1980 Ethnographic Atlas, 186 were found to be monogamous; 453 had occasional polygyny; 588 had more frequent polygyny; and 4 had polyandry.[3] Polyandry is less rare than this figure suggests, as it considered only those examples found in the Himalayan mountains (28 societies). More recent studies have found more than 50 other societies practicing polyandry.[4]

Fraternal polyandry is practiced among Tibetans in Nepal and parts of China, in which two or more brothers are married to the same wife, with the wife having equal "sexual access" to them. It is associated with partible paternity, the cultural belief that a child can have more than one father. Several ethnic groups practicing polyandry in India identify their customs with their descent from Draupadi, a central character of the Mahabharta who was married to five brothers, although local practices may not be fraternal themselves.

Now, do you think in polygamous societies the women felt these grave vengeful pains when their men began relations with another woman and sleep with her? Do you think the men felt it too? Well, the answer is same as asking whether the Christians/Buddhists in the crowd felt pained when that Mohammed's cartoonized photo was shown.

Whatever is practiced in your society usually becomes normal and triggers you differently from how it triggers others, truth is most things that triggers our anger and other emotions only triggers them because of the place and era we were born in, so we should be sure to know they are not the natural human reactions; because, for example, many people thought having that brutal vengeful anger when your lover sleeps with someone else is just a natural response/reaction in humans.
