God cannot be tempted but when the Bible tells us that the Israelites tempted God, then you should understand that they did a grave thing. The same thing with the same passage that says they limited God. How can a limited man limit the unlimited God? It means God wants to do great things with them and for them but with their act of doubt, they didn't allow the full manifestation of God to unravel. This means that God is always willing but we determine what we get from God by our choices and actions.
The same can be said of Jesus when He didn't do so many miracles in His hometown due to unbelief. The question is never about if God can do it but more about if we are limiting that flow with our actions. The Israelites turned back, limited God and tempted God. They forgot God and didn't remember His mighty hands. The Bible made us understand that we need not forget all His benefits and when we forget that's when doubts sets in but if we can understand that it was God that did something similar for us before now, it's easier to trust Him again and not allow doubts to set in.
When we forget the good things God has done it means we are settling for small thinking and that's how negative talking creeps in too. You can't think big by motivation and you can't think big if you live in constant forgetfulness of the small things that God has done for you. You need to look back and thank God for the series of small things that God has done for you.
The answer to your challenge would come from your past victories; only if you remember. When you remember how God helped you before then it's easier to trust Him again. He doesn't have to do it the way he last did it but you can be sure He will come true. When you forget God you start to do things by yourself and on your own. Doubts would always make attention about you - making you think you are the one that has always been making things happen on your own. You will want to do things with more force which would lead to more frustration.
When you forget the things God has done, doubts set in. Doubt is a function of our forgetfulness. Reflect, think back and open the books to remember all the things that God has done for you. Doubting God and even yourself is also a function of how well you have forgotten God and even your achievements. So many people even doubt the abilities which God has given them. They are supposed to leverage that ability and trust God to make use of it for the greater good. It doesn't matter what you are going through right now or what you are trusting God for, it's nothing compared to what He has done to bring you this far.
Effects of doubts on our mind:
1. Fear.
Doubts multiply fear and take your attention away from God and make you start thinking about yourself. It makes your fears grow because you are focusing on the problem rather than on God that can make the problem go away. Don't tell God how big your troubles are but tell your problems how big your God is.
2. Pride.
Doubt is a form of pride because it makes you tell God you can do it on your own and by your strength. You will be at the center of your belief which shouldn't be. God should be at the center of everything.
3. Weak Faith.
Doubts produce weak faith and weak faith produces poor judgement. Spiritual progress can only be attained by a strong belief. When you remember the story of Thomas and how he doubted, he was focusing on himself because he said until "I" touch this, feel that... He would never believe it. His action took the focus away from Jesus to self.
The only reason you can doubt is because that thing is real. The devil cannot take from you what you don't doubt. God can take you through whatever you are trusting Him for. The biggest challenge for Christian is faith. You can believe in God for many things. Your life is defined by your faith in God.

Hahahaha I'm loving the Bible Study engagement and it would be here for everyone to see. The problem with most people is that they don't want to study the Word of God and yet they would complain about going through so much. Everything is in the Word, we just need to place a demand on it and ask. Address the situation the Bible way.
I pray about everything even the seemingly little things. Someone wanted to visit me today and I was feeling a bit about it. I didn't want the person to feel bad but I prayed for something to come up so the person wouldn't come. In the end I was the one "consoling" the person for not making it 🙈🙈🙈. Pray works, the Bible is complete... Ask and it shall be given unto you.

Absolutely. Most people would rather tell everyone without telling God first. There were times I would expect God to do it the way He did it the last time but God is not man. He would always do it differently.
There was a time I was in great need and God dropped my brother in my heart to ask because I hardly ask people for anything. I would just pray and trust God to lead me and God always come through. My brother gave me that time. A few months down the line I asked my brother without praying thinking it would happen the say way and he apologized for not having it too. I went back to God and I apologized for cutting Him off 🙈🙈🙈🙈. The next day, my brother called me himself to give that thing to me. I was like, God!!! You always want to be involved and ever since, I ask Him for everything. If He won't give me, I don't want it. I only want what He can give and that is fine by me.
We are not different from the Israelites of old. Sometimes, I face some problems and I wonder how will they get solved. I forget to remember that I have scaled through bigger problems.
What we need to do as christians is to trust and obey
We have to trust and obey. It's easier for us to forget in the face of troubles that's why the Bible tells us never to forget his benefits.

I am finding that more and more I fall into prayer so easily... I don't wait for a set time each day... If I feel I need to talk to God about something, I do it straight away... no hesitation... I ask for His guidance, I ask for his presence over others, and I ask for whatever I need to heal the pieces of my own life or that of others... and for the things that I know will make a difference in peoples' lives.
