Rise Up To The Challenge (Nigeria A Case Study)

My daily routine focuses on "early morning meditation, slight research before setting out to work".

Waking up as early as 6am this morning and observing this routine, I discovered amazing things during my meditation moment. First, my attention was drawn to a discussion that called for a research.
Why is my beloved Nation(Nigeria), despite being blessed and so rich in all form of Natural resources still have huge numbers of poor people wallowing in Abject poverty? This is a concern that needs attention.
In my dilemma, I remembered a song from Cold-play Official some ten years back called Paradise
Quote from the lyrics

When she was just a girl she expected the world, But it flew away from her reach, So she ran away in her sleep, Dreamed of para-para-paradise. Credit
The Religious view of the term Paradise:
Christianity See's it as a place of exceptional happiness and delight. The term paradise is often used as a synonym for the Garden of Eden before the expulsion of Adam and Eve. Islamians call it Jannah, where those who have been good go. It is described in the Qur'an as “gardens of pleasure. The old Egyptian beliefs, the otherworld is Aaru, the reed-fields of ideal hunting and fishing grounds where the dead lived after judgment.

With many pictures of trees, grasses, wide animals and streams to indicate the beauty of nature. Despite the many tales of Paradise, No one has ever boasted of seeing it, except for tales and mythic.

Nigeria and what it holds

I only saw these when I research about my country online "Nigeria is a patchwork of distinctive regions, including deserts, plains, swamps, mountains, and steamy jungles. It has one of the largest river systems in the world, including the Niger Delta, the third largest delta on Earth. Much of Nigeria is covered with plains and savannas". Holding over +19 minerals ranging from "Bitumen, coal, oil and gas, lead, zinc, iron ore, gold, salt tin etc. My personal experience was a journey from Ondo to Kogi.

So blessed with landmarks and good soil for Agriculture. My own person reality of Paradise from the comparitive pictures and myth heard so far. The beautiful trees, the wide animals the big streams and more.
Seen from the out surface, but deep insides are fears ranging from being attacked by criminal, bandit and herdsmen, which has been the top of the days news. Covering a 281.2 kilometers journey was more like a two days drives because of the bad roads.

As blessed as Nigeria as earlier mentioned, the statistics of unemployment rate is above 33.4%, criminality rate above 65.60%, Inflationary rate at 13.2% and development rate below 1% if not zero by my calculation.
A Critical call for rethink for all stakeholders, ranging from the government, to the representative in the various level, the public servant, the school children, the community/traditional rulers and the religious heads. If we can't retrace our steps now that we can, it might likely be impossible to do so when all is taken.
With trending News of bordering community attacks by Cemeroonian soldiers, bandits seizure of community along lake chad region, IPOB clamoring for seperaty government, Oduduwa Congress complaining of herdsmen farmers clashes and youth crying for Unemployment and high cost of leaving. All this are indicator of hard times, and drastic approach needed at this time.

In conclusion, it is cleared many are leaving the country to have a safe haven, but those that have no opportunity to travel needs to start believing in what they have and push them to work. A youth with a mobile phone needs to think of what we can use it and be self motivated even if everything around him/her doesn't speak positive. In the midst of negativity, their is positivity, look for it and you will find it.

What do you think about the country call Nigeria and how do you think you can help with your comment to those leaving in the country?
Kindly drop a comment as it would be highly appreciated.
