First we go to the word of God: 1 Cor 1:1-9 "Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and brother Sosthenes 2 to the church of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints with all those who in any place invoke the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours. 3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 4 “I thank my God always for you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus 5 because in all things you were enriched in him, in all speech and in all knowledge; 6 just as the testimony about Christ has been confirmed in you, 7 so that you lack nothing in any gift, waiting for the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ; 8 who also will establish you to the end, so that you may be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”
The first blessing is: This letter.
V1 “Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and brother Sosthenes”
Listen, the one who wrote this letter was an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God and that. Question: What does this mean?
That the apostle Paul had been chosen to be a representative of the Lord, to make known the revealed will of Christ to his church. That means that despite all their problems as a church, in Corinth, the Lord had not forgotten about them. The very existence of this letter was proof, in its infinite goodness, in its infinite grace. The God of heaven was attentive and vigilant to what was happening in this church. And he had decided to send him his word, to let them know what God thought of them.
We can be so used to the blessing of having the word of God in our hands, that the Lord speaks to us every Sunday through the preaching, explanation and application of his word in our midst, that we easily lose sight of the enormous privilege that this implies. We worship a personal God, a God who is attentive, who speaks to his people through his word and through his preaching of his word.
While the word of God is being expounded from the pulpit, do you know what is happening in the church? The Spirit of God is moving in the midst of the church, the Spirit of Christ is applying that powerful word in the mind, in the hearts of each one, according to each one's need. Some he is consoling, others he is rebuking, others he is encouraging, others he is strengthening in faith. All this while the word of God is being preached.
The second blessing is: its existence as a church
V2 “to the church of God which is in Corinth…”
May God give us grace to read with renewal, texts that we have read so many times. Did you hear how Paul described the church here? “To the church of God which is at Corinth. Paul had been the human instrument that God had used for the founding of this church. Remember that the creator of this church was not Paul, the creator of this church was God, God had chosen them before the foundation of the world, and in time that God began to call men and women to repentance, and began to gather them everyone in a local church, this was God's church.
Think about this, God is the creator and absolute owner of the church, he bought us with his Son's blood, but he did not leave us to walk alone in the world, he brought us together in one of his local churches, in which he manifests his special presence every Sunday, when we gather to worship him in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
If we look back we will see how God formed that local body of believers of the Christian Cathedral, how God took care of those who started from a young age, perhaps with immaturity, with blunders, so that we are here today 47 years later. Do you know what that is called? Blessing, Mercy, grace. Dear brother, it is an enormous privilege to be part of one of the Lord's local churches. Despite all the inconveniences, all the difficulties that are included in the membership package. Listen, in the church we are going to have problems, because the church is made up of people who have not been glorified yet, but God uses those problems to make us more and more like our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In the Corinthian church there were many problems, but Paul wants his members to value the fact that they have come to be part of the church of God.

Primeramente vamos a la palabra de Dios :1°Cor 1:1-9 “Pablo llamado a ser apóstol de Jesucristo por la voluntad de Dios, y el hermano Sóstenes 2 a la iglesia de Dios que está en Corinto, a los santificados en Cristo Jesús, llamados a ser santos con todos los que en cualquier lugar invocan el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, Señor de ellos y nuestro. 3 Gracia y paz a vosotros, de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo. 4 “Gracias doy a mi Dios siempre por vosotros, por la gracia de Dios que os fue dada en Cristo Jesús 5 porque en todas las cosas fuisteis enriquecidos en él, en toda palabra y en toda ciencia; 6 así como el testimonio acerca de Cristo ha sido confirmado en vosotros, 7 de tal manera que nada os falta en ningún don, esperando la manifestación de nuestro Señor Jesucristo; 8 el cual también os confirmará hasta el fin, para que seáis irreprensibles en el día de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. 9 Fiel es Dios, por el cual fuisteis llamados a la comunión con su Hijo Jesucristo nuestro Señor”
La primera bendición es: Esta carta.
V1 “Pablo llamado a ser apóstol de Jesucristo por la voluntad de Dios, y el hermano Sóstenes”
Escuche, el que escribía ésta carta era apóstol de Jesucristo por la voluntad de Dios y eso. Pregunta: ¿Qué significa esto?
Que el apóstol Pablo había sido elegido para ser un representante del Señor, para dar a conocer la voluntad de Cristo revelada a su iglesia. Eso significa que a pesar de todos sus problemas como iglesia, en Corinto, el Señor no se había olvidado de ellos. La existencia misma de esta carta era una prueba, en su infinita bondad, en su infinita gracia. El Dios del cielo estaba atento y vigilante a lo que estaba sucediendo en esta iglesia. Y había decidido enviarle su palabra, para darles a conocer lo que Dios pensaba de ellos.
Nosotros podemos estar tan acostumbrados a la bendición de tener en nuestras manos la palabra de Dios, que el Señor nos hable cada domingo a través de la predicación, la explicación y la aplicación de su palabra en medio nuestro, que fácilmente perdemos de vista el enorme privilegio que esto implica. Nosotros adoramos a un Dios personal, a un Dios que está atento, que le habla a su pueblo a través de su palabra y a través de su predicación de su palabra.
Mientras la palabra de Dios está siendo expuesta desde el pulpito, ¿Sabe lo que está sucediendo en la iglesia? El Espíritu de Dios se está moviendo en medio de la iglesia, el Espíritu de Cristo está aplicando esa palabra poderosa en la mente, en los corazones de cada uno, según la necesidad de cada uno. A unos los está consolando, a otros los está reprendiendo, a otros los está animando, a otros los está fortaleciendo en la fe. Todo eso mientras la palabra de Dios está siendo predicada.
La segunda bendición es: su existencia como iglesia
V2 “a la iglesia de Dios que está en Corinto…”
Que Dios nos de gracia para leer con renuevo, textos que hemos leído tantas de veces. ¿Escuchó ud cómo Pablo describió a la iglesia aquí? “a la iglesia de Dios que está en Corinto. Pablo había sido el instrumento humano que Dios había usado para la fundación de ésta iglesia. Recuerde que el creador de ésta iglesia no era Pablo, el creador de ésta iglesia era Dios, Dios los había elegido desde antes de la fundación del mundo, y a su tiempo ese Dios, comenzó a llamar hombres y mujeres al arrepentimiento, y comenzó a congregarlos a todos en una iglesia local, ésta era la iglesia de Dios.
Piense en esto, Dios es el creador y dueño absoluto de la iglesia, él nos compró con la sangre su Hijo, pero no nos dejó andando solos por el mundo, él nos reunió en una de sus iglesias locales, en las que él manifiesta su presencia especial cada domingo, cuando nos reunimos para adorarle en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
Si miramos hacia atrás veremos como Dios conformó ese cuerpo local de creyentes de Catedral Cristiana, cómo Dios cuidó a los que comenzaron desde jóvenes, tal vez con inmadurez, con metidas de pata, para que hoy estemos aquí 47 años después. ¿Sabe cómo se llama eso? Bendición, Misericordia, gracia. Amado hermano, es un enorme privilegio ser parte de una de las iglesias locales del Señor. A pesar de todos los inconvenientes, de todas las dificultades que vienen incluidas en el paquete de la membresía. Escuche, en la iglesia vamos a tener problemas, porque la iglesia está compuesta por personas que no han sido glorificadas todavía, pero Dios usa esos problemas para hacernos cada vez más semejante a nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo.
En la iglesia de Corinto había muchos problemas, pero Pablo quiere que sus miembros, valoren el hecho de haber venido a formar parte de la iglesia de Dios.
Quedan aun mas palabras para compartir, pero para que no se haga tan extenso el post seguire compartiendo en los siguientes dias.
