Hello, beefriends! Just the other day I got the notification that I have officially reached my 4th Hiversary! :)

4 years 2.jpg

So to celebrate, I'm going to do a little contest, since I haven't done one in a while. The winner will get 5 shares of @steembasicincome (Hive SBI, which earns you upvotes for life on your posts; the more shares you hold, the bigger the upvotes you can get), and as always, the winner is chosen by my cats! :D

Happy 4th Hiversary!

My favorite community is Hive Gaming. I may be a bit biased because I have been gaming for over 30 years. But I really do believe that it is one of the strongest communities on Hive.

It is actively and strongly curated and they occasionally do writing contests. Many of the admins as well as members are very friendly. I've engaged with other users who have similar backgrounds and tastes as mine and even learned about games that I didn't know existed.

Ah that sounds cool! I haven't explored Hive Gaming before so I'll have to check it out.

As of today, my favorite community is Leofinance. Maybe it's because I see so much synergy, desire and opportunity in the place. Also, I think it has massive potential, and they don't disappoint keeping the community happy with new projects always in the offing.

There is one community that has been relatively inactive for a while now, and that is the familyprotection community. While I vehemently oppose any form of child abuse, certain story recounts show that poor families appear targeted by child care workers who can't differentiate loving parents having a hard time and abusive parents. Am all for family, and I believe kids should be allowed to grow in stable families without regulators overreaching

Yeah there is a lot of activity in LeoFinance! I mean it's kind of perfect since a lot of people are in the crypto space for investment purposes.

That's a good reminder that I haven't seen any familyprotection posts in a long time. I agree that there is a definite issue with how that happens, at least in the US, I don't know if it's as bad in other places. A lot of time actually abused kids don't get saved, and kids with loving families who are poor get taken. And then they PAY the foster parents to take care of them - and foster homes are often abusive themselves - and I'm always like, why couldn't you just give that money to the family that was struggling??! It's so infuriatingly backwards. I mean, I'm sure there are some well-intentioned people who go into social work and whatnot who really just want to help, but the way the system is set up now is just broken. :(
