The community voiced a need. Multiple issues surrounding the POB frontend, since its inception, created a desire within the community for something better and easier to manage. A developer heard that call and took action. This is a story of a developer, his product, and a call for the community to now take action.

POB Ecency
The community spoke, and @leprechaun stepped up to take the challenge. On May 6, 2021, Leprechaun presented a proposal to develop the new front end based upon the Ecency platform. Ecency's front end was open-source software that anyone could adopt if they had the knowledge.

- There are aspects of the new front end that should be addressed.
Leprechaun is talented. I'll give him that, but no matter how talented the developer is, the product must be utilized and adjusted accordingly to meet the community's expectations.
He brought us a new front end. Now, it's our responsibility to provide feedback. Leprechaun needs data.
Call to Action (CTA)
The community called for a new front end. Leprechaun has created it and, with community support, received funding for its development.
- Now, we need to use it and record our observations, positive and negative, for community review.
- @Leprechaun should review this feedback and develop a separate proposal, if necessary, for continued development funding.
- Be professional in your communications. It may be difficult to correct any issues if it's clouded by emotional responses.
- Remember, the new front end is for our use. We get from it what we put into it.

User engagement in this CTA is critical to further the progress of POB.

Assessment
The POB-Ecency front end is not yet ready for full continuous use without further development.
What I don't Like
- Sign-in issues prevent me from posting and engaging with any community.
- Loading times appear to be similar, or worse, than the current POB front end.
- POB Community tags aren't there. In terms of curation, it will be challenging for me to quickly filter those tags specific to the POB community. It would slow my curation considerably.
- At a minimum, all features included in the current front end need to be included in the new version.
What I do Like
- You can clearly see the difference in earnings between HIVE and POB by hovering your cursor above the rewards payout.
- The design is appealing to me, as well as the presentation of information.
- We have a front end, and now we need to keep up with development.
Request for Proposal
I would like to formally ask for a proposal to accomplish the following:
- Further develop the POB-Ecency front end and address community concerns and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain continuous monitoring and maintenance of the POB-Ecency front end for the foreseeable future.
- Include all current frontend features into the POB-Ecency platform.
- Incorporate, if possible, PeakD posting flexibility.
- Report on the progress of development.

This is the first time am seeing a Pob-ecency. This is a good one. I love using @ecency a lot because to my observation it’s more user friendly. I’m using the Brave Browser and I just noticed the issues observed above by you. I can’t wait for these issues to be resolved because it will make me interact more with the POB community. What you have put forward i feel are most significant iterations and indispensable. I accede that they must be executed.

Oh I do software testing in real life. Most of the project I’ve done involved IT in some way.
As far as branding is concerned I can’t really comment at this time. I’m not involved with that area. My sole concern is functionality at this time.

Yeah, branding definitely isn't my forte. I mean, I can DO it, but not as well as others.
I mostly focus on backend development and testing. I do some front end development, but only related to statistics presentations on tools like Tableau, Excel, or Power BI.
The biggest obstacle is
When I log in I'm back in Hive.
I want to find my feed and I want to find Proofofbrain quickly.
Next I want to see my notifications but they keep loading forever.
I feel there may be too many options on Blue Brain.
I have to come in and upvote and comment go.
I don't have all day.
I like Blue brain because it is faster, but I like simple just as much as fast.
Using a cell phone I find double comments on proofofbrain.io and I don't see that on the Blue Brain.
I have a tendency to lean toward the proofofbrain.io unless It starts acting up, then I am at Blue Brain.
Yeah that was the biggest surprise for me. I hope that and the access issues get fixed. Jeez I just hope we can get another proposal.
#Pob-ecency
I use hivekeychain app on ios a lot. I have tried logging in before and I tried again now. But it crashes. As soon as i enter my username and click on sign in with keychain, the whole app crashes and closes. Needs to be resolved.
Definitely need to be worked out. Please do let me know your other concerns when you get to them. It will also help me out to tag Leprechaun or myself. I need to collect the info.
I've been using the #pob-ecency front end for 10 days or more now.
I find it much better than pob. io.
Much faster and easier to navigate.
I have been using it through the firefox browser.
I have been able to claim rewards and power up easily unlike the problems faced with pob.

Hi everyone I have been a user of pob.io just for some days now, it some based on my view looks complicated I can't really fix on the community for pob, and sometimes there are certain time pob just stop due to cause of some sorts all I am saying is ...it's good but if it can be improved reduce the complicated system...

That’s also a bit fat negative for me. Even with using Firefox I still get that pesky server error.

Right now I am not able to login to the site, it shows server issue. I was wondering if fully developed, will it take over the current POB site?
Once it’s fully developed, the original front end will not be deactivated if POB help it. If anything users will be directed to the new site.
