Tend your garden, water it with love and the "butterflies" will come to you.

"When we place too much trust or expectations in a person, the risk of being disappointed is great.

People are not in this world to meet our expectations, any more than we are here to meet theirs.

. To be with someone, we have to be aware that we are together because we like it, because we want it and we feel good, never because we need someone.

People don't need each other, they complete each other... not because they are halves, but because they are a whole, willing to share common goals, joys and life.

Over time, you will realize that to be happy with the other person, you must first not need them. You also realize that the person you love (or think you love) who wants nothing to do with you is definitely not the man or woman in your life.

You learn to love yourself, to take care of yourself, and above all to love those who love you.
The secret is not to take care of the butterflies, but to take care of the garden so that they come to you.

At the end of the day, you won't find who you were looking for, but who was looking for you!"
(Butterflies - Mário Quintana)

The butterfly can represent happiness, love or anything else that does not depend solely on you: just like a butterfly, the more you chase it, the further away the butterfly seems, as if it is running away, and when you think you captured it, it escapes So instead of chasing the butterfly (or whatever the butterfly represents to you), take care of you and what depends on you. When you get distracted, the butterfly will land on you.

Each of us has the power to choose which feelings to plant. If you plant love and understanding, you are likely to reap them. If you plant aggression and hostility, you may reap that too. Give a little attention every day to what you want to bloom in your garden, and before you know it, you'll have beautiful flowers. Just a little attention every day.

You are your garden.

This is lovely :)

It's a beautiful reminder and stories are such a great way to impart knowledge.

I chased a butterfly for too long and it wore me down. Perhaps if I'd read this sooner I wouldn't be so tired! 😅

No more chasing butterflies 👍🙏

Hello, thank you for your comment. I am glad that my message is enlightening💫 for the one who reads it. 🙏

I may just get a tattoo to remind me 👍
