English version

If there is something impossible in life, it is not lying to my mother, but that the excuse I tell her succeeds. Telling a lie to my mother is a complicated act that requires a lot of analysis, audacity, dedication and practice, complicated things to do but that I was always willing to try, maybe I will be lucky and I will finally achieve the perfect deception. The problem is that she always finds me out, as if she had a lie detector specialized in my stories.

When I was in elementary school there was no student more brilliant and outstanding than me, I was not a nerd but my grades were a source of pride. The problem arose when I started high school, as if by magic my glorious grades plunged into the underworld as my hormones did not stop directing 99% of my thoughts towards the female sex and the thousand and one ways to conquer girls. Of course, my academic performance was undeniable, those damn grades gave me away, when my mother finds out I will have to say goodbye to going out with friends and conquering girls.

Before my desperation I had to think of something that would give me time, I knew that the moment of the delivery of notes and my mother would be implacable with me, I could not
I could not expose my poor performance and expose myself to the most horrible punishments. After thinking and thinking, scheming and scheming I opted for the perfect option: falsifying the report card.

It is necessary to consider that we are talking about the last century, back then everything was printed, even the numbers were registered with blue markers for the impeccable grades and red for those infamous ones. I managed to get a cardboard of the same color as the ones they give in high school, then I located a printer where they could imitate the logo, place the subjects and the tables for the grades and of course the seal of our high school. Everything was immaculate, I would dare to say that it was impossible to do it better, this time yes, for sure I will achieve the trick of the century, my name will be legendary in the history of parental deception, they will make songs about my prohesa.

24 hours before the delivery of the bulletin I proudly told my mother: "Mom, you'll see how well I did, you won't believe it", she without flinching just raised an eyebrow and answered "I hope so". My fictitious grades were those of a genius, on a scale of 1 to 10 I evaluated myself with a 10 in Spanish and Literature, 10 in English, mathematics another 10, Geography 10, social studies 10, in short, in the blink of an eye I became the nerd of the room, something that contrasted with my real grades that seemed to come out of Tarantino's movies, a whole display of red color.

It's time, no room for fear, all the risk I took had to be compensated with a thumbs up from my mother. From the bowels of my backpack I pulled out the imposter report card with Bill Gates' grades and gave it to my mother; I knew full well the risk I was taking, if I got through that filter my goal would be accomplished. My mother opened the report card and seconds after glancing at the content she turned her eyes towards me and after 5 seconds of silence she said: "Show me the real report card! I could not believe it, I could not find the words and suddenly my legs were shaking, all my facade fell down when I had to show the real one, in my mind I was thinking how the hell did he find me out, a question whose answer was exposed immediately: -Do you think I'm stupid, since when is English spelled with a "I"?

Inside my head one word kept bouncing around: "Shit!
