Hypsizygus tessellatus - Shimeji or Brown Beech Mushroom

This one is known as Shimeji and some of you might have seen it at their supermarket or local grocer. It is typically offered in a smaller cultivated form.
It has an interesting taste and didn't really made it to be a fav in our family.
Also the mycelium odor is just like the taste, well lets say "interesting".
Surely still a lovely shroom. It is a little more difficult though and pins like crazy though only very few fruitbodies matured. The texture of the fruits is also quite unique...
