No mornings without coffee!

Greetings, I present myself with my first publication for this community and the Hivers that make life with their wonderful stories. Thanks to one of them from my dear friend @lisrl26 I liked it so much that here I am, I hope you like it.

The town of Tovar, located in the city of Mérida, Venezuela, is a generous and fertile land of mostly agricultural inhabitants and one of the coffee growing towns par excellence. Where the love for coffee, its care and cultivation has been transmitted for generations.

That Sunday afternoon, men, women, children and the elderly awaited the presidential message. The dreaded message, the one that was secretly spread in the streets, the one that everyone was talking about, the one that everyone assumed and many did not believe, the unconfirmed message that would be announced on national TV.

Early that Sunday the inhabitants went out to do their shopping, some businesses were closed, the elderly were murmuring, "Is it true that they are going to prohibit it? The radio news and the press took it for granted, that message of prohibition would be the end for that coffee-growing municipality.

The long awaited hour arrived. The new president announces fatal measures, after so much chatter and waiting:

The cultivation and consumption of coffee is prohibited throughout the national territory and anyone who speaks out against this measure will be imprisoned.

This, together with other arbitrariness and without national consultation, left everyone perplexed, many lamented, others resignedly asked themselves: What are we going to do now? What will happen to our crops? After years of taking care of our crops, what are we going to do?

That same night the young people called a meeting, taking into account the word of the elders.

The young people, full of rage and without thinking, were preparing to march to the capital against the measure.
The elders in their tranquility told them that it was time to get organized, together the coffee growers, the farmers, those who work the land and take the message to our brothers in other cities, to be noticed and loudly fight for their food, their livelihood, what is rightfully theirs.

In the following days the coffee growers received the green force sent by the new government, vigilant of the crop and ready to take action in the face of any subversion.

During the mornings everything went on as normal. In the evenings, men and women of the town gathered in organized teams and decided to carry out a campaign against the measure taken. The message was visible on walls, establishments, houses, dumpsters, there was not a single place without that allegorical banner with the message:

No mornings without coffee!
Let's not run out of tomorrow!

The green force every morning indignantly painted walls, tore off the banners, questioning innocent people.

However, that message was becoming more and more notorious and was extending throughout the Andean cities, becoming a great network, united by the land of their ancestors, by the land that they work, by the protection of that coffee seed that feeds them.

And that coffee network became unstoppable in the Andean cities, present that ancestral force of the Andes Mountains, transcending any measure to silence the voice not only of the inhabitants but also the voice of the land defending the coffee seed.

There are no mornings without coffee!
Let us not run out of tomorrow!

Hello, it's a pleasure to greet you.
Yes, it's certainly a great message, thanks for reading me.

Very good slogan. And a story where good triumphed.... In unity there is strength! Long live the coffee! Success and blessings...

Hi, It's a great message and of the power of togetherness when standing up for what is sacred.
Thank you for reading it.

Super cool illustration, loved how it reflected your coffee story!

dear Genio, yes, the illustration was a gift from a great friend who was inspired by the mere mention of what my story was about.

I am happy to see you here, your participation is full of feelings, struggle and triumphs. And the slogan is great, as we say in these parts, "The cockerel can't crow any lighter".

Thanks to your wonderful story I am a new member of this community.
That's right, my dear, it doesn't get any clearer than that! And in this story there is a lot of clarity and triumph!
Thank you for reading

How nice your story, long live coffee, a hug.😁

Thank you beautiful, for reading and enjoying this story.
❤️
