It has been a long time since I've had conversations over coffee, and today I'm inviting you all to join the conversation, on this topic:
What's your favourite Coffee Cup?
ALL YOU HAVE TO DO
- Take a selfie with your favourite coffee cup.
- Post the selfie in the comments section of this post.
- Tell us some history and personal information about the coffee cup, and what it means to you. (50 to 100 words MAX!)
- Comment with an English translation on the previous author's selfie, before yours, and ask one question about the coffee cup. The question must be something that the author did not mention in the history or information about the cup.

HI EVERY ONE MY FUNNY COFFEE CUP.
This fun and childish coffee mug is my favorite, because I like the joy and draws attention for its drawings and its dedicataria, besides being special because a good friend gave it to me before leaving the country, we are both coffee lovers, I always offered her coffee when we arrived at my house and we went to this garden of my house, to enjoy it to be outdoors, we had a good conversation of friends. I know that someday she will return to the country and we will have these good times again, so we will always have a coffee with milk and cinnamon served in these Funny cups and in this garden of my house.

Yes, your cups are cheerful, you have a very nice garden, worthy for a good conversation with a delicious coffee and the best company, be it friend, family or partner.😊
For those rainy days like the ones we are experiencing in Caracas, nothing like a good cup of coffee to warm us up and wake us up.
But coffee is tastier with my white Progress Software mug. A mug that has a lot of value for me because it was given to me by my good friend Anabel Casado, who was my Progress instructor in 1990. Coincidentally, daughter of one of my mentors in the world of computing, my well-remembered friend Diego Casado.
I have taken care of this mug more than any material thing in my life. I've thrown away wedding rings, watches, and cars, I've even been divorced several times and the mug is still with me, and coffee tastes different in it regardless of the brand, it tastes divine.

Your mug is quite big, I even think much bigger than mine, won't it be too heavy?
we are an Indonesian couple. in terms of art, this cup of mine has no art. but this cup is full of love and the history of our 7 year marriage. The contents of this cup are 600 ML. very much the content of the coffee. And in this green cup my favorite color (wife) is every afternoon for 7 years, coffee will be poured into it and we drink it alternately in the same cup and tell many things ranging from work, dinner menu, vacation time. I love coffee and love the person holding the cup.

How wonderful it is to see how a couple of beings who love each other share from the simplest thing which is drinking coffee in the same cup. That makes me think that the cup without having any image only its color of hope has a valuable meaning for the couple.

What material is the mug made of?
This mug is made of thick plastik which is quite safe even if put in the microwave with a long heat resistance. This mug has a well known trademark in my country Tupperware

No, the mug is not heavy at all. It's the same weight as the average size mug. I guess it's the material that makes it this light.

I have been through several divorces as well as marriages; that makes me feel like a movie or show business star.

Sounds like the mug has a lot of sentimental value to you. It's good that you're keeping it safe.
I have been thinking of putting it in a special place and moving it to retirement to keep it safe. I should look for another one or wait for a gift to arrive.
This Badger Coffee Cup is my favourite because it was given to me as a gift to compliment my very first narrowboat that was called Badger.
I no longer live on Badger, but whenever I use the cup I'll always think of Badger fondly.
I appreciate the size of this coffee cup, which is ideal for cappuccinos, my preferred coffee whenever I go to a coffee shop. Having this cup allows me to sit in the comfort of my home, pretending to be at a fancy Coffee Shop.
That's a very thoughtful gift to link the cup to your home. It's a nice image on it too. Cute little badger. It's awesome that it's a large size too. A coffee mug can never be too big.
Yes, I admire the little badger, and I particularly enjoy drinking my coffee in nature, from my badger cup, because I feel safe and protected with a badger in my hand 🤣

I present you my magic coffee mug, it is very special for me because it represents many things. My progress in Hive, because I bought it with the money I produced writing 2. My development because I am already a teenager who has his things, and 3. But not less important, is that it has stamped all the things I love, represented in the logo of the coffee community, my favorite anime which is One Piece, and my video games.
@liseth.zamora Do you know if the drawings on your mug have any meaning or represent any in Portugal?

I love hats too. This straw hat was my favourite hat when I lived in the Philippines. I like broad-rim hats that are made of natural material like this one.
It's a farmer's hat in the Philippines, and you will see farmers on rice fields wearing them:)
I have only two models, the first hat is made by indigenous artisans in my country, it is not made of straw, it is made of the fiber of a palm bush from this area, it is all handmade and has colorful threads, I brought it from a trip we made to the Amazon area near a big river called Orinoco, the other model I have is the purple one, I also have it in dark brown and light brown, they are made of leather, they are also handmade, but it is from the Venezuelan plains area.
They are both gorgeous and I like that they are local items from your country:)
Hello! @eollarvesm basically the drawings are abstract. In Portugal, this technique of painting on white ceramics using blue in different shades is widely used. The design is by Carrilho Lopes
I like your technique, blue is my favorite color and in white it stands out a lot.

That's interesting. I had no idea white on blue was popular in Portugal. Those colours always make me think of Greece 😅
I would say that those colors are more characteristic of the city of Porto. Since they have given me, on other occasions, a tablecloth, a chopping board with those two colors that stand out in the pattern
Yes, blue is a relaxing and calming colour, and I think that when it's mixed with white, it looks good in most living spaces:))
Hi Hivers this is my favorite mug and it is a gift from my grandmother Yeyita last December (2021). It has a medium size, just enough to drink black coffee and bold enough to repeat a cappuccino, mocachino or any version containing milk. It is blue in color (my favorite) with a gold rim.
I think it is an elegant mug and what do you think?

I like all shades of blue, most of my clothes are blue, gray and black and some color to get out of my comfort zone. 😅

This is my favorite cup to drink coffee, it is a gift that some friends gave me and it comes from Portugal. Drinking in it is divine, every time I serve myself in it is to taste my coffee very slowly as it makes me imagine what life is like in that country, its culture, its stories, flavors, colors and smells. Knowing that it was handmade I find it fascinating that someone can have such a talent to paint deserves my respect. My question to @germanandradeg : would you trade your mug for one to create new stories?

As you may have read, I have had my mug since 1990, so I wouldn't change it. But this doesn't mean that I wouldn't accept a new mug, my mug would become a memory and I would start life with a new history with a mug with details like yours.
It's always good to improve, to see the future with hope and not stagnate.

My favorite mug is simple, white and with the Beatles logo printed on it. I like it for several reasons, first it is very comfortable to drink in it, there are mugs with a very thick rim, with which I do not feel comfortable, this one is perfect! Second, it has the perfect capacity for me, it is medium and I fill it almost to the brim! Third, it was given to me by my boyfriend who is a coffee lover and was the one who introduced me to drinking coffee every morning, I have another one that he also gave me, which is beautiful and handmade, but it has a very thick rim which makes it difficult to drink coffee with it. Fifth I love the clean crisp look of it, it was once burned on the stove, yet I still use it and it is my favorite. And sixth, it has the logo of one of the most famous bands of all time, favorite of my father, my boyfriend and me!

Hello @caracasprin, I love that band, their songs are an antidote for those of us who were born and grew up in that era. That mug is a wonderful gift.
My question is: Have you ever sat down to listen to the songs of The Beatles while enjoying a delicious coffee in the cup with their image?
In my house there is always music playing, many times we put a long list of Beatles hits on spotify while we do our jobs, and although I had never thought about that, on more than one occasion these actions were simultaneous, because mornings are great for a good beat!
I assumed so. For such an emblematic mug, the enjoyment of its songs simultaneously is well deserved. I listen to them daily between various music from the 70s and 80s, and my favorite is "Hey Jude". What a valuable legacy your dad is giving you, friend.

When we are having breakfast at home, from time to time my husband plays instrumental music to make us feel like we are in a luxurious restaurant in the city.
