I called in at a lovely garden centre called the 'Notcutts Dukeries' in the next county to do a bit of shopping, and of course, a coffee! You know when you are getting old when all of a sudden garden centres are the highlight of your week!

After you've done your shopping, there's nothing like a nice cappuccino and a slice of cake (or two) at the on- site café.

My friend had a pot of tea. I will never understand anyone who likes tea. I don't even like the smell of it. Give me a strong cup of coffee and the smell of coffee beans any day!

It was a pleasant day so we sat outside on the picnic tables, although in the summer months it is overrun with wasps.

In the courtyard, there is an art gallery. This venue is the start of the Harley Art Trail. The trail has been created by two local artists, Michelle Reader and Martin Smith. To the left of us were two horse sculptures by Michelle. They are built out of recycled materials. They are very cleverly made. It was a good first visit, albeit a little expensive but garden centres usually are.
