I choose never to taste coffee.
Because coffee may still be tasted with the nose or nasal sense while being ingested with the aroma. I can smell the flavor of the coffee and will imagine it while drinking it. :)

I think it's a rather brave decision to give up tasting coffee ever again, but agree that we do in fact taste with our noses too.
Hmm, on another note, most people who drink coffee every day tend to suffer from headaches if they do not have the opportunity to drink coffee, what side effects, if any, do you think one might have from never smelling coffee ever again though?
Tasting with the nose - interesting way of looking at it. I get what you mean by that.
