The weather is not what it’s supposed to be at this time of the year. Let’s brew some coffee to brighten up the day!

Well… it is already the end of May and instead of getting temperatures between 20-25 degrees centigrade and having sunny days, we get only this…

It really feels more like the weather of UK than the typical Bulgarian weather. Yes, we have some rainy days in mid May but the weather here is for more than a month now. We are really happy that we didn’t book our summer holiday for the first half of June, because I dont see this getting much different in the next ten days or so.

A great idea in order to avoid depression is brewing some good coffee and enjoy the great grey skies!

Luckily HAYB are at home with another sunny and fruity coffee. When you see these bags, you will certainly feel better! A lot better!

My friend Misho, from “Specialty Place 23” coffee shop, has received his order from Poland and now he has some pretty amazing looking new coffees on his shelves and Colombia La Colombia is one of them.

It is processed Anaerobic Honey and this really suggests a very fruitful and a little bit fermented flavor in the final cup. The taste is supposed to remind of peach syrup, papaya and lychee. This coffee was roasted to be best enjoyed on filter - a bit lighter, preserving the freshness and delicate taste of the bean.

The coffee was roasted on the 16 th of May and Misho received his order about 5 days later. This shows how even coffee bought from online store abroad can be delivered jn a matter of days. Modern ransportation makes the delivery process so convenient and you can receive fresh goods anywhere!

The sides of the bag adds a nice little touch to the overal product. You can see , even from distance how your coffee would possibly taste, of course only if fresh and prepaed properly.

But what’s inside the bag? Of course some of the finest wuality coffee beans from Colombia, medium light roasted.

And now it is time for a manual grinder action! I cannot really decide which one is more pleasing to me - consuming the coffee, or playing with my new grinder! 😁

After I already wrote in my post last week, the grinding process of 20g of coffee is finished in about half a minute and we are ready to meet the coffee with some hot water.

After pouring the first part of the water, it is time for some shots. I like the effect that vapor left on one of the photos. It is like a natural filter! It couldn’t be more perfect!

The aroma of the beans, when brewing them is not unique as the barrel aged one was, but they are still very fruitful and suggest a delightful time in just a couple of minutes.

Despite the weather I already feel a lot more better, expecting this delicious cup. But before this, time for some more photos!

Spring flowers definitely help a lot for the mood boosting too! And with coffee’s tropical fruitiness and spring colors around, I am rrally ready to enjoy our cloudy weekend. Hope that at least it will not rain and we will have a walk with the kids outside. But even if it starts raining, we have more coffee to rise our spirits. 😝

That’s for today. Wish you a pleasant weekend and hope that the weather won’t ruin your olans for spending some amazing time. See you very soon!

Bye and enjoy your time!

Gray ssky + coffe + some sweet bread is the best combination forever !

Now as you wrote it, it seems reasonable! 😁 I am only missing the sweet bread, but the other positions are checked!

A hot cup of coffee does brighten my grey days. However, thankfully, it's been blue skies all week and I've been working outdoors. It's amazing. I'm happy that you're loving your new grinder, and I just love the bright packages of your coffee:)

You are lucky to have good weather. I hope that weather gets good really soon, because our summer vacation is less than a month away and we need some good and warm sea water.

Also, working outside in such weather isn’t that appealing… 🤷🏻‍♂️

I smelled the aroma so pervading by just looking at the coffee being grinded.
