Cooler Weather and Great Ideas

There is something about the cooling weather in Autumn that makes me appreciate my hot cup of coffee even more. A cold front blew through this week and cleared away the hot thick days. I hadn't realized what a stark difference that would make until I walked out in my red tank top and shorts to quickly realize I was underdressed. A fresh cool breeze greeted me and my cup of coffee. It was both refreshing, surprising, and most welcome.

So, I breathed in the crisp air, took a sip of my coffee, and thought,

"I must mark the occasion with a photo!"

I will spare you the pic of me in my not-quite-ready-for-my-close-up-Mr-DeMille moment. What I will share with you is the cup of coffee that greeted this particular day. I think the saying on my mug is really quite appropriate.

Great ideas START with Great COFFEE

I'm sure you, dear reader, will agree with me (and this cup) that coffee is indeed a part of our great ideas.

This mug was given to me by my mother @lakeart, who knows all too well my love affair with coffee. She said when she saw it, she knew it would have a welcoming home with me. She was right! But then again, aren't mothers wise and all-knowing like that?

I am wishing you well on this fine (and cool) day. I hope you enjoy a delicious cup of coffee wherever you may be on this planet spinning around the sun. Cheers!

All mothers are indeed wise and all knowing. They know everything haha

Your mug is truly lovely 😍

Thanks @nikkabomb! I only wish the mug were larger so I could fit even more coffee in it. ;-)

And I must say a Great day starts with great Coffee. Enjoy autumn! Ph ha sonly dry and wet season so I never experienced such.

Mothers are always mothers and they all knew us too well.

This year the weather has been different. In the summertime we usually have very hot days. Many in 100º+F. So it was a big surprise to not have a single day hit triple digits. Of course in Texas we also had almost a whole week of snow back in February. Which is very rare for us. Not sure what this winter will be like. Hoping we don't have weather as cold as last year, but we are preparing just in case.

Thanks for reading and commenting. Cheers!

This might be an effect of the climate change. Stay safe

Hello @shinyobjects, you are so right about the weather at this time. You never quite know what to wear. You're too hot one minute, freezing the next.
I do agree all great ideas start with coffee.
Just had a lovely cup of coffee by the canal before a glass of rosette, then we could feel the chill as the temperature surely drops fast once the sun disappears.
I like the mug. Nice vintage look to it😍
Thanks for dropping by, always a pleasure:-)

Thanks @millycf1976 for creating such a great space for fellow coffee lovers all around the globe to share our coffee adventures. !LUV

Looking like a great cup of coffee. Did you mean to leave the tags in your post like that? Just curious is all

Actually, I'm testing out Ecency and didn't know where to put tags since they don't have a place for tags like PeakD or Hive.Blog or SplinterTalk or just about anyone else does. So, I wondered if we're supposed to put the tags in the post. Turns out that was wrong. :-/ I'm still relatively new to the HIVE Ecosystem and learning about new communities, tribes, etc. I'll get there....eventually.

The tags are at the top from what I see. Everybody does it differently and is confusing. Many of the design choices are not intuitive. I'm pretty sure you can edit your posting and throw them in there.

Don't worry I'm new too and there's sooo much to learn on here haha

Ah, I wasn't looking for it at the top of the post since all other places have it at the bottom. Good to know for next time. I hit edit on the post and the option to add tags was not available. Maybe it's only available when writing the post and not for editing. I'll check it out for my next post. Thank you so much for your help. Have some !LUV

That got me too and some places require the hashtag and some don't on the tags. Thanks for the luv and I found this article. I learned some stuff myself and might be useful

Nice! Thank you for the link. There is so much to learn and I appreciate the shortcut. Have a great day! !LUV
