RE: Vermont Sunday Walk

in SublimeSunday2 years ago

Beautiful photographs and stunning flowers! Our hostas had flowers about a month ago except for one or two "late bloomers." We're stuck in a yucky hot/humid pattern since late June with too much rainfall the past 10 days (approximately 18"). I'm done with this year's summer and ready for delightful autumn foliage colors! Even wintertime snows are better than this...

Hi, Betty!🐶🐾❤

Thanks, it's been quite a change coming up here. It's been like never-ending spring since April-May. We do get lots of rain and heavy dew every morning. The plants love it. The day lillies are taller than I am. You can see the hostas from the pic that just grew back all on their own. The woods here are so thick, with ferns and undergrowth, and the trees tall all fighting for the sun in their tops, it's almost like jungle. We just started breaking 90 a bit last week, but it is humid heat. I'm also excited for fall (not so much winter, lol).

Your new location in Vermont sounds quite heavenly with the lush foliage and dewy mornings.

Don't worry about winter -- Betty enjoys it enough to make up for everyone who doesn't!😂

Well, Miss Betty still very much wants one of us to go out with her on walks in the morning. Even though she should be quite capable of "going" all by herself. Yes, she is quite spoiled. I had to buy rubber boots because my sneakers are soaked through after 3 steps! Definitely not like dry Colorado where the grass and ground were dry like 10 minutes after a rain. We're figuring it out. But she will figure out how to do business on her own once the cold and snow get here!
