DEFY TYRANNICAL ORDERS OF KING INSLEE!
Governor Jay Inslee extended his "Stay home, stay safe" orders until May 31, 2020. He let Washington residents think they were getting some freedom back by telling us we could fish and play on sport courts. Not free and smart enough to think for ourselves to be trusted with playground equipment. After seeing open for business rallies in Idaho and Texas where people were actually opening instead of asking for permission I decided I needed to get involved locally. I don't have a business to open but I support those who do. I decided I could show by example by taking down fences around play structures. I contacted the mayor of Liberty Lake, Shane Brickner on May 4, 2020. I had a good conversation with him about our freedom and what he was trying to do. Let me be clear I have no doubt Mayor Brickner is working very hard within his system to get businesses open and freedom restored. However, his system is broken and my freedom is non-negotiable. I gave him 24 hours to take down the fences around the city or I would start myself. He advised me not to stating he couldn't guarantee disinfecting the structure between kids. He can't do that the skate park but its open. At some point we have to take responsibility for our own lives and make our own informed educated decisions. I told him I would take the fences down starting May 5, at 5 pm. I informed him I wouldn't damage anything just remove zip ties and roll up the fencing and pile it up with the post along side the structure so they could be put away.
