With a view to the east or with a view to the west, Chile continues to give us the gift of sunsets that are works of nature's art.
There is an altitude of 5 kilometers difference between the highest peaks of the Andes and the city of Santiago. That difference becomes very noticeable in some sunsets like the one yesterday, in which the reflection of the sunset is still reflected in the mountains a good while after the city is totally dark.
The image below is incredible. You can see this same scene on a completely clear day in this previous post.
Con vista hacia el Este o con vita hacia el Oeste, Chile sigue regalandonos unos atardeceres que son obras de artes de la naturaleza.
Hay una altitud de 5 kilómetros de diferencia entre las cumbres más altas de la cordillera de Los Andes y la ciudad de Santiago. Esa diferencia se hace muy notoria en algunos atardeceres como el de ayer, en el que el reflejo del atardecer se sigue viendo reflejado en las montañas un buen rato despues de que la ciudad esté totalmente oscura.
La imagen de abajo es increíble. Esta misma escena la puedes ver en un día completamente despejado en esta publicación anterior.
The two photos above correspond to our view to the east, directly towards the mountains of the cordillera and therefore in the opposite direction to the setting sun. The two following photos correspond to the West, for the angle of our sight, in this epoch of winter we do not manage to see the sun as such, but the colors that it generates in the clouds do not pass unnoticed, even when we do not manage to see the sun, it gives us these brushstrokes in the sky.
Las dos fotos anteriroes corresponden a nuestra vista hacia el Este, directo hacia las montañas de la cordillera y por lo tanto en el sentido contrario al sol poniente. Las dos fotos siguientes corresponden al Oeste, por el angulo de nuestra vista, en esta epoca de invierno no logramos ver el sol como tal, pero los colores que genera en las nubes no pasan desapercibidos, aun cuando no logramos ver el sol, nos regala estas pinceladas en el cielo.
In this more open shot, a great contrast between the urban and the natural can be appreciated, how extensive the city is and its relationship with the coastal mountain range to the west of Santiago and, as its name suggests, a mountain range of lesser volume than that of the Andes which lies between the capital and the coastal cities.
En esta toma más abierta se aprecia un gran contraste entre lo urbano y lo natural, lo extensa que es la ciudad y su relación con la cordillera de la costa que se encuentra al Oeste de Santiago y como su nombre lo dice, una cordillera de menor volumen que la de Los Andes que se encuentra entre la capital y las ciudades costeras.
