[ESP/ENG] Un año en CHILE (Galería) / One year in CHILE (Gallery)

in PhotoFeed4 years ago (edited)

Today, June 25th, we celebrate the first anniversary of our move from Venezuela to Chile.

Imagine, moving house is already difficult, think about moving country, how much do you think you can carry in just a couple of suitcases?

Any Venezuelan who has emigrated in search of new and better opportunities, knows well what we are talking about. And not only Venezuelans, there are millions of displaced people who have gone through this for different reasons, Venezuelans because of bad politics, Haitians because of natural disasters, Syrians because of war events, among many others, which by the way, we don't even know about.

But, well, the story of why we left Venezuela is not very different from that of the others. What does change are the conditions and in that we cannot and should not compare ourselves, neither among Venezuelans, nor much less with immigrants from other countries, we ALL have reasons to do so, or not to do so, besides that we ALL do it by making decisions based on different and very particular conditions.

The truth is that we have been awesome, not everything is extremely good or as good as we would like, but it has not been too bad either, maybe you think "you have been lucky" but we do not believe in luck, maybe we are too optimistic and we always give positive turns to the calamids.

We love where we are, we love what we do and we love what this experience has turned us into. To celebrate, we want to share with you a selection of our favorite photos since we've been in Chile.

Hello, so great to hear from you two. My favorite is the first one, you both are so cute! The other shot I really like is Santiago's landmarks with the Andes for a backdrop. Stunning. Glad you are taking each experience for what it is and being optimistic.

Thank you so much Sara! That one in particular actually reached many interactions on Instagram, that is our favorite too 😁
