The west coast of the island of Ibiza is dotted with small islets that form a Protected Natural Park, and each of these islets is home to a different subspecies of lizard. Access to them is restricted to biological and scientific studies only.
This aerial image shows a part of these islets with the so-called S'Espartar in the foreground. The name comes from the fact that in ancient times it was all cultivated with the esparto grass plant, a flexible reed that was used to make sandals.

What an interesting place. And to think that very few people get to visit it. I guess this has to do with the fact that some of those lizards must be endangered, or am I wrong? Be that as it may, the photo turned out great. Regards, my friend.

Actually nobody visit this islands, it's totally forbiden.
Back in the day there was some traffickers of protected species who went around the islets hunting these lizards, unique in the world, to sell them on the black market. But this has ended with the constant vigilance of the Natural Park rangers.
