Dari keping logam emas, perak, perunggu, tembaga, nikel, besi, timah, kerang dan cermin kaca

Kita di sini membaca masa lalu

This is Japan medal, I think. Comemorative medal for visiting to palace

I thought it had Japanese elements; Chrysanthemum Icon and twin phoenix are identical to a Japanese 50 Sen I have. So it is Mt Fuji in the background on the reverse. Characters looked Chinese to me.
