If you read my blog a lot, you will know I love traveling. Any little chance I get, I make use of it and travel. If I hear there will be a public holiday, I am immediately planning where I will travel to.
My last travel was during the Easter holidays. I made a short trip to Benin City, just to visit and check out the environment. Although before I made the trip, I had heard that the roads were very bad, with potholes everywhere.I was told not to make it a night trip because the Warri/Benin bypass is very dangerous at night, so I should take the first bus.
I woke up and left for the park from Port Harcourt to Benin, which is just a 7-hour journey. I went to the park around 10 am because I had to report to the office and drop something off before departing. So when I got to the park, I boarded a bus to Benin from the list where you put down your name. I was the 11th person and hesitated to buy the tickets because it was an 18-seater bus.
Immediately the driver of the bus started shouting that he couldn't wait for the bus to be full, he needed to go now so he could return. So the girl urged me to pay quickly and join the bus, which I did, thinking that the bus was leaving as promised.Only I paid for the ticket and sat down. I waited for the driver to come and move the vehicle, but when he didn't, I got off and approached the ticket girl to ask why the driver was delaying the bus.

She told me that the bus has not yet filled and I should be patient. In the next fifteen minutes, we will be moving. I went back and sat down. I waited for almost 2 hours for the bus to get full. At this point, I was very upset because it was already getting late and that wasn't my plan when I decided to leave my house. Finally, around 1pm, the bus got filled.I don't know if I am the only one who gets annoyed with drivers always going to buy fuel as soon as they leave the park.
Like what stops them from buying it before loading passengers. When we started the journey, my driver was not driving, he was flying, because in less than six hours I was already at my destination. It was a smooth journey and I really enjoyed my stay courtesy of my host. Benin is not a fun place at all with bad roads.
I plan on traveling to Abuja in the next coming holiday. I have heard a lot about Abuja, the hiking, the waterfall, every interesting places to visit in Abuja I have mapped out to tour. So yeah, my next journey will be to Abuja.

Thank 💕 you for stopping by my blog
I believe it is a general culture among drivers, it seems the tfare they collect from passengers at the park is what they use to purchase fuel for each trip. It is like they wouldn't want to use the previously collected tfare to buy fuel.
That's true, maybe if the use it, there money will not be complete
Probably but I believe it is just a poor mentality.
Lying about the bus getting filled is not a new thing, they say it everytime with confidence. Traveling inter state can be stressful at times because of the bad roads.
Not for popular company bus, at least I have never witness it
