Hello Everyone,
Welcome to my blog, hope you are all doing great today, it's another week again where we've been given another task to write about by the #newbies hive initiative, after going through the study materials given,so receiving some enlightening lectures about the hive blockchain from @samostically @starstrings, which most newbies are not aware of and sadly, i was a part of that and that is why the newbie initiative organised this platform for us. For this week's task, i will be answering some questions, expressing my thoughts based on what we've been taught.
Firstly,
How has been your experience with Hive since you joined?
If I am to express myself in a word so far since I joined hive, I would choose the word enlightening , initially, i never really knew what hive was all about, i thought it was just to write and earn, but lately, I've discovered there's so much more to know and do on hive, for Instance, hive is about engagement, if you don't engage and get to know and relate with other more authors on hive, you will just be wasting your time, to receive engagement in form of quality comments and upvotes on your post, you have to do likewise to others. And the more you get to engage with others, the more you find hive like a home, it gets more interesting and exciting , not just where you come to write and leave.
Why is Plagiarism Frowned Upon on Hive?
Before I answer this question, i would like to let on the light on the word PLAGIARISM , which is an offensive act, it means using other people's work either in form of writing, pictures as yours without giving reference to them as the owner which is very bad, because people spend a lot of resources, mentally, financially, time etc to come up with their content.
Hive is a place that welcomes only ORIGINAL content creators, if you are to use someone's work in your post, either pictures or quotes, always leave a source after, meaning let people know where the contents originates from. If noticed on hive that you are a plagiarist , there are penalties which could be in the form of downvotes it worst.
Explain why the use of tags is very important on Hive
Use of tags is a very vital aspect here on hive, because
- tags helps in bringing the right audience/viewers to your post,
- it also helps curators find your post easily
When tags are used properly, it puts your post in the right community front-end which in turn can make it easier for you to earn that community tribe token.
In general, using tags aids VISIBILITY for both authors and curators.
List some general tags you know on Hive. Explain the difference between these tags.
JUST so you know, general tags can be used in all type of post, some of which are;
- Proofofbrain (POB)
- Neoxian
- Gems
- Hive
- Creativecoin
+Palnet - Vyb
The differences between these tags are just that they belong to different community and uses their different community tribe token.

It's always important to use the right tags to bring more audience or visibility to your posts. Plagiarism is frowned at on Hive because it's a bad act and you shouldn't engage in such. One has to bring quality if you want the best.

Plagiarism is very bad, taking ones post or article to form your own is not good and to avoid that, we need to creat our own content.
